Utah Valley hosts in-state rival Weber State on Monday afternoon at 4 p.m. MDT for the first of a two-game home-and-home series between the Wolverines and Wildcats.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines dropped both games of what ended up being a two-game series with the Grand Canyon Lopes on Friday. Saturday's series finale ended up being snowed out after just over half an inning of play.
In Friday's doubleheader, Angelique Mann had a five-hit day, including a four-hit game in the night cap. Mann has hit safely in six of her last seven and nine of her last 11 games.
Amber Rodriguez had a pair of two-hit games against the Lopes, and has hit safely in five straight games. Over her last eight games, Rodriguez is hitting .482, providing a spark out of the leadoff spot.
Emma Haygood extended her hitting streak to seven games with a pair of hits in the GCU series. Haygood leads all UVU starters in batting average (.389), slugging percentage (.638), and RBIs (17), while being second in home runs and on-base percentage.
SERIES HISTORY VS WEBER STATE
Utah Valley holds a two-game edge in the all-time series against the Wildcats at 21-19. The Wolverines took the season series in 2024 two games to one with a pair of run rule victories (11-3 in 5 innings and 9-1 in 6 innings). Weber State took a 5-2 decision in the last meeting in Orem on March 13. The two teams have played or been scheduled to play every year since 2010.
SCOUTING THE WILDCATS
Weber State comes into Monday's meeting with an 8-20 record and are coming off an 0-4 weekend at the Saint Mary's Tournament in Moraga, Calif. The Wildcats' top win of the season came against then-No. 23 San Diego State, a 7-6 marathon victory in nine innings. As a team, Weber State is hitting .274, but opponents are hitting .374 and are averaging nearly eight runs per game.

Utah Valley continues rivalry week with a trip to St. George for the Old Hammer Rivalry against Utah Tech on Friday and Saturday. The Wolverines will then return home for the Crosstown Clash with BYU on Tuesday, March 25.
