ST. GEORGE, Utah –
Valentina Zuleta carded a 2-over-par 74 on Saturday in the second round of the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational at Sunbrook Golf Club, placing her seventh on the individual leaderboard with a two-round total of 2-over-par 146 (72-74).
As a team, Utah Valley posted a 12-over-par 300 in the second round and sits in 10th place on the 12-team leaderboard at 36-over-par 612 (312-300). UC Riverside remains atop the team standings at 6-over-par 582 (293-289).
Zuleta's round featured two birdies and 11 pars, keeping her in contention heading into the final round.
Maria Ortiz climbed six spots on the leaderboard after shooting a 4-over-par 76 on Saturday. She is now tied for 48th at 12-over-par 156 (80-76) and recorded one birdie on the back nine.
Rylie Rodriguez also sits at 12-over-par 156 (79-77) after carding a 5-over-par 77 in round two. She picked up a pair of birdies on the front nine.
Competing as an individual,
Lily Shin shot a 7-over-par 79 in round two and is in 60th place at 17-over-par 161 (82-79).
Millie Terrion posted a 12-over-par 84 on Saturday and is tied for 68th at 21-over-par 165 (81-84).
Chloe Jang led the Wolverines in round two with a 1-over-par 73, recording five birdies—including three straight on holes 5-7. Jang did not compete in the first round and is not listed on the individual leaderboard.
Utah Valley will conclude play at the Lady Thunderbird Invitational on Sunday with a shotgun start at 10 a.m.
