Jang Climbs to Seventh as UVU Posts Strong Round Two

LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. — Utah Valley's Chloe Jang fired a 2-under-par 70 in Tuesday's second round of the WAC Championship at Wigwam Golf Resort, climbing 16 spots on the leaderboard into a tie for seventh with a two-round total of 2-over-par 146 (76-70).

As a team, Utah Valley recorded a 6-over-par 294 in round two—the third-best team round of the day—and moved up one spot on the leaderboard into eighth place at 37-over-par 613 (319-294).

Jang's 70 was the fifth-lowest round of the day and featured a near-flawless scorecard that included three birdies and 14 pars.

Pati Uluave, making her WAC Championship debut in place of Mia Pace, posted a strong 1-over-par 73, highlighted by six birdies, including four on the back nine.

Valentina Zuleta carded a 2-over-par 74 and is now in 24th place with a two-round total of 7-over-par 151 (77-74). She notched six birdies and five pars in her round.

Maria Ortiz shot a 5-over-par 77 and is tied for 35th at 17-over-par 161 (84-77), recording two birdies and 10 pars on the day.

Rylie Rodriguez posted a 10-over-par 82 and sits in 38th place with a two-round total of 20-over-par 164 (82-82).

The Wolverines will wrap up play at the WAC Championship with Wednesday's final round, beginning at 8:00 a.m. (PT). Live scoring is available at GolfStat.com.
