OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University will send a program-record 15 student-athletes to the NCAA West Preliminary Rounds next week in College Station, Texas, competing across 14 different events. The NCAA released the participant lists on Thursday for the meet, scheduled for next Wednesday, May 28, through Saturday, May 31, at Texas A&M.

Gabe Remy, who won the 100, 200, and was on the 4x100-winning squad at last week's WAC Outdoor Championships in Arlington, Texas, will compete in all three events in College Station. Remy was named the WAC Men's Most Outstanding Athlete following the meet that saw the Wolverines sweep the men's and women's titles. Remy also set the school record in both the 100 and 200, and sits ninth and eighth in the West, respectively, in the two events. The prelims of the 100 will be contested on Wednesday at 7 p.m. CT, while the 200 will start at 8:45 p.m. CT.

Kade Thompson will join Remy in the 100m and the 4x100, while Cameron Franklin and Gavin Stafford will also run in the 400-meter relay after winning the second straight WAC gold for the squad. The relay team has set five of the top six times in the school record book this season. Franklin will also compete in the 400, with the first rounds on Wednesday starting at 7:25 p.m. CT.

Also on Tuesday, Alex Hartshorn will race in the first round of the 1500, slated to start at 6:30 p.m. CT on Wednesday. Noah Peterson, the 2024 WAC Champion in the pole vault, will compete on Wednesday with the event beginning at 5:30 p.m. CT. Porter Westerlind also posted a qualifying mark in the pole vault and would have been among the field if not for an injury that will keep him out. To close out the opening night of action will be the 10,000, with WAC Champion Mo Guled racing for Utah Valley.

The women will open their regional on Thursday with three-time WAC javelin champion Kelsi Oldroyd making her third straight appearance in the NCAA first round after recording the sixth-best mark in the West during the season. WAC 100-meter hurdle champion Quincy Bonds will race in the first round of that event at 6 p.m. CT to lead off the day on the track alongside teammate and WAC runner-up Kali McEuen. McEuen will also race in the 400-meter hurdles starting at 8:20 p.m., with Ella Hopper joining her. Anna Martin in the 10k will close out the women's opening day on Thursday night.

The men's 4x100 squad will lead off Friday's competition on the track at 5 p.m. CT. Alex Hartshorn will race in the 1500, starting at 5:15 p.m. before the 3,000-meter Steeplechase, featuring Abdulsalam Farah, at 5:40 p.m. The quarterfinals of the 100, 200, and 400 will also be held on Friday.

The final day of the meet will include the quarterfinals in the women's 100mH and 400mH, with Oakley Olson set to compete in the steeplechase at 5:40 p.m. Caila Odekirk will race in the 5,000, in the penultimate event of the meet, at 8:10 p.m. CT.
