OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University head wrestling coach Adam Hall has announced the addition of Ed Scott to his coaching staff. Scott recently completed his collegiate career at North Carolina State in 2025.

"We're excited to announce Ed Scott as our new assistant coach," said Hall. "He brings a wealth of wrestling knowledge to Utah Valley, having recently moved from Raleigh. Timmy (McCall) and I had the privilege of coaching Ed for several years, and it's an honor to now mentor him in this new role."

Scott was a 2023 All-American for the Wolfpack during a career that saw him qualify for the NCAA Championships four times. He was also a two-time ACC Champion, two-time NWCA Scholar All-American, and two-time ACC All-Academic selection as a collegian. Scott tallied 91 wins during his college career and also won 70kg gold at the 2021 Junior Pan Am Championships and was named the Most Outstanding Wrestler.

"As an NCAA All-American and a recent Senior US Open place winner and Senior World Team Trials qualifier, Ed will immediately elevate the existing talent in our wrestling room," continued Hall. "We're thrilled for him to continue pursuing his own competitive goals while helping our athletes reach theirs. Ed's arrival couldn't have come at a better time as we begin our second year in Orem. We also look forward to welcoming his wife, Katlyn, to the UVU family soon. Go Wolverines!"

"I'm so grateful for this opportunity that Adam, Timmy, Andrew, and UVU wrestling has given me," Scott said. "It's super exciting to be working with Adam and Timmy after they played such an impactful role in my career. I'm looking forward to learning from them and helping to elevate UVU wrestling to the next level."

The Dubois, Pennsylvania native attended Dubois High School, where he was a two-time PIAA state champion and compiled a 79-0 record during his final two seasons of his prep career.

Scott graduated from North Carolina State University in 2025 with a business administration degree with an emphasis in marketing. He and his wife, Katlyn, were married in the summer of 2025.
