OREM, Utah — Utah Valley women's basketball hits the road Saturday for a noon (MT) Western Athletic Conference matchup at UT Arlington inside the College Park Center, wrapping up the first time through league play.

UT Arlington earned its first WAC victory of the season Thursday night with a home win over Utah Tech. The Lady Mavs are led by Kira Reynolds, who averages 12.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while ranking among the league leaders with 50 blocks. Reynolds has been named WAC Player of the Week once and is a three-time WAC Newcomer of the Week in her first season at Arlington.
Point guard Nya Threatt contributes 8.8 points per game, with Mila Reynolds adding 8.4. Defensively, UT Arlington entered the weekend holding opponents to a .241 shooting percentage from 3-point range and averaging more than five blocks per contest.
Utah Valley is seeking its first road win in the series at Arlington and trails 3-2 all-time. The teams split two meetings last season, with each winning on its home floor.
Following Saturday's contest, the Wolverines return to Orem for a three-game homestand, beginning with Southern Utah on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6 p.m. MT at the UCCU Center. Utah Valley will then host California Baptist on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. MT.
