OREM, Utah — Utah Valley University picked up ranked wins for the second consecutive night from Jack Forbes and No. 12 David Evans, but the Wolverines fell to No. 19 Missouri, 31-9, on Saturday at Lockhart Arena.

No. 19 Haiden Drury also earned a ranked victory for Utah Valley (3-6, 1-3 Big 12), but Missouri (8-6, 2-1 Big 12) pulled away with five consecutive bonus-point wins to secure the dual.

"We wrestled a very good team tonight," UVU head coach Adam Hall said. "We were outclassed in several areas. We spent a lot time with our team digesting the lessons from tonight so we can have closure and move forward to an even bigger challenge next week at Oklahoma State. I'm happy for Jack earning a second-straight ranked win, one that he got redemption from last year. I'm happy for David and Haiden earning gritty wins. We will be ready to fight on Monday and set the tone for the rest of the week."

At 141 pounds, Drury defeated Owen Uhls in a low-scoring 1-0 decision. Drury scored an escape in the second period for the lone point of the bout. Uhls accumulated 1:20 of riding time in the second period, but Drury rode out Uhls the entire third to clinch the victory.

At 149, Evans edged No. 18 Josh Edmond, 5-4. Trailing 1-0 in the second period, Evans finished a takedown with 11 seconds remaining to take a 3-1 lead. He extended the advantage to 4-1 after an escape, but Edmond tied the match with a takedown at the 44-second mark. Edmond immediately cut Evans, conceding the decisive point. Evans then held off Edmond over the final 40 seconds to tie the dual at 6-6.

Missouri took control from there, beginning with a technical fall at 157 by No. 15 Teague Travis. J Conway followed with a fall at 165, before consecutive technical falls by 2025 All-American and No. 11 Cam Steed and No. 2 Aeoden Sinclair, a redshirt freshman who was the top recruit in the country out of high school at his weight class. No. 16 Evan Bates capped the five-match run with a major decision at 197.

Forbes closed the night with a 13-8 victory over No. 25 Jarrett Stoner. Forbes jumped out to an early lead with two first-period takedowns and led 7-3, with two of Stoner's points coming on a reversal. Stoner closed the gap to 8-7 with third-period takedown, but Forbes escaped and secured another takedown and riding time to seal the win.

Utah Valley next travels to No. 5 Oklahoma State on Sunday, Jan. 25, in Stillwater, Oklahoma. The dual is scheduled to begin at 2 p.m. CST (1 p.m. MST).
