OREM, Utah — Utah Valley women's basketball looks to bounce back Saturday afternoon with a trip to St. George to face Utah Tech in the Old Hammer Rivalry. Tipoff is set for 2 p.m. MT at Burns Arena. The contest marks the first of three meetings between the in-state rivals this season.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley rallied from a slow start and closed late in the fourth quarter Thursday night in Cedar City but fell 76-68 at Southern Utah.
Amanda Barcello led all scorers with 21 points. The Wolverines forced 27 turnovers and recorded 16 steals.
Saige Gibb added 11 points on 5-of-12 shooting, along with five steals and five rebounds.
SCOUTING THE TRAILBLAZERS
Utah Tech enters the matchup 5-9 overall and 0-3 in WAC play. Nevada transfer Kaylee Borden leads the Trailblazers at 15.2 points and 4.7 rebounds per game, while Lehi native Maddie Warren averages 10.6 points. Utah Tech is coming off a 75-67 loss, paced by 16 points from Warren and 13 points and seven rebounds from sophomore Paige Cofer.
SERIES HISTORY
Utah Valley holds an 8-4 advantage in the all-time series and has won the last three meetings. Barcello scored 22 points and went 6-for-6 from 3-point range in a 74-51 win in Orem last season. The Wolverines also earned a 62-46 victory in the teams' lone meeting in St. George a year ago.
