PALM DESERT, Calif.—Utah Valley fell 3-1-1 to Nevada in the semifinals of the Mountain Classic Match Play on Tuesday at The Classic Club.

Alyssa Butterfus earned the Wolverines' lone point with a 1&0 victory over Nevada's Hannah Stouder. Butterfus delivered an impressive performance, recording five birdies, including three straight on the back nine to secure the win.

Pati Uluave battled to an all-square finish against Coco Kolbas, tallying two birdies on the back nine in her match.

Chloe Jang dropped a 4&3 decision to Gabby Kano. Valentina Zuleta fell 2&1 to Anna Shultse, and Maria Ortiz was defeated 8&7 by Marina Nonaka.

Utah Valley will conclude play at the Mountain Classic on Wednesday against Washington State.
