Boise, IDAHO — Utah Valley men's soccer alum Keegan Oyler has signed his first professional contract with USL League One side AC Boise, becoming the fifth active professional to come through the program.
A native of Meridian, Idaho, Oyler burst onto the scene in 2025 with a WAC-leading eight assists while starting all 15 games for the Wolverines. Oyler played the first 10 of those as a wingback, where he registered all of his assists before falling into a centerback role in the final five games. Following the season, Oyler was named second team All-Far West Region and second team All-WAC.
Oyler played a pivotal role in the team's defensive success, which was the best in the league over the last two seasons. Oyler locked down the left wing defensively, helping the team to a WAC-record six straight shutouts to open the season, and in 2024, helped the Wolverines to a league-leading 1.11 goals-against average.
Oyler joins former teammate Omar Yehya with AC Boise, which is entering its inaugural season. The club was first announced in October of 2024, and unveiled its team name and branding this past July. The first professional soccer team in the state, AC Boise will play its home games at Les Bois Park and will play its first game on March 7 against Sarasota Paradise.
With Oyler's signing, the Wolverines now have five former players in the professional ranks. Oyler joins Yehya — who just signed his first professional deal with AC Boise last month — as well as Jojea Kwizera, Zahir Vazquez, and Matt Gay. This is the most active professionals the program has had at any point in its 12-year history.
