OREM, Utah — Utah Valley women's basketball is set for its final trip to Texas this season, beginning with a matchup at Tarleton State on Thursday, Feb. 26, at the EECU Center. Tipoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. MT / 7 p.m. CT in Stephenville. The Wolverines are seeking their fourth consecutive victory, which would mark a season high.

BROADCAST INFO
Thursday night's contest against the Texans will air on ESPN+, with Byron Anderson (play-by-play) and Scott Garner (analyst) on the call. Live stats will be available at GoUVU.com/stats.

LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines capped a 2-0 week on Saturday with a 77-60 victory over UT Arlington. It marked the first time since opening week that UVU earned two WAC wins in the same week.
Amanda Barcello scored 25 points on 9-of-14 shooting and 6-of-10 from 3-point range in the win. Halle Nelson recorded a double-double with 17 points, 12 rebounds, and eight assists. She finished two assists shy of becoming the first Wolverine to post a triple-double since Julie Smith in 2009 against NJIT.

SCOUTING THE TEXANS
Tarleton State enters Thursday's game with a 12-14 overall record and a 6-9 mark in WAC play. The Texans have dropped three straight games but are 8-4 at home in the brand new EECU Center.  Gia Adams and Jakoriah Long lead Tarleton State in scoring at 11.5 points per game apiece. Freshman post player Elodie Lutbert averages 10.5 points and more than seven rebounds per game.

The Texans will need to limit turnovers against UVU after committing 20 or more turnovers in both meetings this season.

SERIES HISTORY

The Wolverines lead the all-time series 8-3 and have won three straight meetings. The series is tied 3-3 in Stephenville, with Tarleton State earning a 68-61 home win last season.

UVU RECORD WATCH
As the season winds down, several Wolverines are closing in on program records. Barcello has 59 made 3-pointers and needs 13 more to break Katie Kuklok's single-season record of 72 set in 2013-14. Sophomore guard Cambree Blackham needs seven steals to surpass Taylor Christensen's single-season record of 78 from the 2016-17 campaign.

UP NEXT
UVU will wrap up its Texas road trip Saturday, Feb. 28, at Abilene Christian. Tipoff is set for noon MT / 1 p.m. CT. The two teams have split their season series so far.
