The Utah Valley University women's golf team opens its spring season this week at the Soboba Classic, Feb. 4–6, at Soboba Springs Golf Course in San Jacinto, California. The three-day, 54-hole tournament is hosted by Fresno State and features a 10-team field from across the West.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT
The tournament will be contested over three days with 18 holes played each day. Play will begin at 9 a.m. PT on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday, with team and individual champions determined following Friday's final round.
TOURNAMENT FIELD
The field includes CSU Bakersfield, CSU Northridge, Eastern Washington, Fresno State, North Dakota State, Southern Utah, UC Riverside, University of British Columbia, Utah Tech, and Utah Valley.
COURSE INFORMATION
Soboba Springs Golf Course will serve as the host venue. The course will play as a par 72 at 7,339 yards. The San Jacinto layout presents one of the longer tests on Utah Valley's schedule and will require consistent ball-striking and disciplined course management throughout the 54 holes.

LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley wrapped up its fall season at The Clash at Boulder Creek in Nevada, where Rylie Rodriguez led the Wolverines with a tie for 15th place in a 108-player field at even-par 216 (71–71–74). Rodriguez recorded 11 birdies over her three rounds and closed with a 2-over-par 74.
As a team, Utah Valley shot 14-over-par 878 (292–290–296) to tie for 10th in the 18-team field. Valentina Zuleta tied for 22nd at 1-over-par 217 (73–71–73), while Pati Uluave (223) and Chloe Jang (225) also posted top-65 finishes. Alyssa Butterfus and Mia Pace competed individually for the Wolverines.
The Soboba Classic marks Utah Valley's first event of the spring championship season.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following the Soboba Classic, Utah Valley will travel to compete in the Mountain Classic Match Play, hosted by Wyoming and Boise State, Feb. 9–11.
