ABILENE, Texas—Chloe Jang carded a two-round 1-over-par 141, highlighted by a school-record 6-under-par 64 in the second round, to lead Utah Valley on Monday at the West Texas Classic at Abilene Country Club.

Jang opened the day with a 7-over-par 77 before surging up the leaderboard with a blistering 6-under 64 in round two, climbing 47 spots into a tie for fourth on the 88-player leaderboard at 1-over-par (77-64). Her 64 is the lowest single round in program history, breaking the previous record of 5-under-par 67 set by Carly Dehlin Hirsch in the final round of the Bobcat Spring Invitational on April 10, 2018.

Jang's record-setting round featured seven birdies and stands as the lowest round of the tournament heading into Tuesday's final round. She sits just one stroke back of a three-way tie for the lead.

Rylie Rodriguez posted a two-round 12-over-par 152 (75-77) and is tied for 47th, while Valentina Zuleta also sits tied for 47th after carding a 12-over 152 (77-75).

Maria Ortiz is tied for 52nd at 13-over-par 153 (75-78), and Mia Pace rounds out the lineup tied for 56th with a 14-over-par 154 (77-77).

As a team, Utah Valley shot a two-round 37-over-par 597 (304-293) and is tied for seventh on the 16-team leaderboard.
