LAST TIME OUT
Utah Valley defeated in-state rival Southern Utah, 74-53, Thursday night inside the UCCU Center. The UVU defense set the tone by forcing 34 turnovers and recording 25 steals. The 25 steals were the most all-time against a Division 1 opponent with the 34 turnovers forced coming up third all-time. Kaylee Headrick led the offensive charge with 17 points, six rebounds, and five assists. Amanda Barcello, Cambree Blackham, and Halle Nelson each had at least five steals.

Blackham set UVU's single-season record for steals with her 79th of the season during the game, as the team recorded its most steals against a Division I opponent. Barcello scored 12 points, while Blackham added 11 in the victory.

SCOUTING THE TRAILBLAZERS
Utah Tech enters Saturday's finale at 9-18 overall and 4-13 in WAC play. The Trailblazers are 0-10 in road games this season, including a 58-55 loss to the Wolverines at Lockhart Arena earlier this year. Recently, Utah Tech has been playing well, winning three of its last four games, all at Burns Arena. They are led by Kaylee Borden, who averages 15.6 points per game in her first season in St. George after transferring from Nevada. Brie Crittendon averages just over 10 points per game and scored 18 points against UVU in the last meeting while adding eight rebounds. Utah Tech hit 11 3-pointers in that matchup at Burns Arena, led by Lauren Crocker, who finished 4-for-5 from beyond the arc.

OLD HAMMER RIVALRY
Utah Valley holds a 9-5 advantage in the series since the 2015-16 season, with most matchups coming while both teams were members of the Western Athletic Conference. The Wolverines have won four of the last five meetings, including two straight games played along the Wasatch Front.

SENIORS
Utah Valley will honor Kylee Mabry, Amanda Barcello, Saige Gibb, Kaylee Headrick, Halle Nelson, Tessa Chaney and Gracie Sorenson following the game in a Senior Day ceremony. The senior class has helped shape the future of the program, including back-to-back 15-plus-win seasons and the program's first postseason victory in the Division I era. The Wolverines will look to make one more tournament push next week in Las Vegas.

UP NEXT
Utah Valley is set to compete at the Air Reserve WAC Basketball Tournament next week in Las Vegas at Orleans Arena. Seeding and game times will be announced following the conclusion of play this weekend.
