MARICOPA, Ariz.—Colby Hutchens and Ty Brady each sit tied for 24th at 2-under-par to lead the Utah Valley University men's golf team after the opening day of the Wyoming Cowboy Classic at Southern Dunes Golf Club. The Wolverines are tied for 15th at 2-over-par after one completed round and a shortened second round that will be resumed Tuesday morning before the final round.

Utah Valley opened the tournament with a 4-under-par round and was 6-over through 14 holes in the second round when play was suspended due to darkness.

Hutchens paced the Wolverines with a 3-under-par 69 in the opening round and is 2-under through 14 holes in round two. Brady matched Hutchens atop the UVU leaderboard with a 3-under-par 69 in the opening round and is 2-under through 14 holes in round two.

Paxton Maxwell and Andrew Hawk are each tied for 77th at 3-over-par. Both players are 2-over through 14 holes in their second rounds after opening with rounds of 1-over 73.

Elliot Bond is 13-over-par through 14 holes of his second round.

Southern California leads the team standings at 22-under-par, with Arkansas State and Grand Canyon tied for second at 19-under.

Utah Valley will resume the second round at 7:15 a.m. PT on Tuesday before immediately beginning the final 18-hole round.
