ARLINGTON, Texas — The Western Athletic Conference named its 2025-26 Academic All-WAC honorees for winter sports and 48 Utah Valley University student-athletes were recognized for their outstanding achievements across four sports and in the classroom. A total of 177 WAC student-athletes were honored in men's basketball, women's basketball, men's indoor track & field and women's indoor track & field.
UVU's men's indoor track squad lead all WAC teams with 21 honorees while the women have 17 honored, the highest total for a women's track & field team. Women's Basketball had eight on the list to lead all other women's basketball teams and the men's basketball team had two honorees. Of the four teams, both men's indoor track and field and men's basketball won WAC championships. Several other first-year transfers and freshmen will become eligible to receive the honor after completing two semesters at UVU.
To be eligible, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests. Of the four winter sports, women's indoor track & field led the way with 77 total honorees.
