ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley second baseman Tatum Hall has been named the WAC Player of the Week for the game week ending April 5, the league announced in a press release on Monday.
A native of Spanish Fork, Utah, Hall was nearly unstoppable in the Wolverines' four games last week. Hall went 10-for-14 with two home runs, four doubles, 14 RBIs, and seven runs scored. Hall had 13 of those RBIs across the first three games of the week, the most in any three-game span in program history. Hall's four doubles, 10 hits, 14 RBIs and 20 total bases led the nation over the last week.
With 13 games still left in the regular season, Hall has already put up arguably the best offensive season by a left-handed batter in program history. Her nine home runs are the most in a single season by a left-handed batter in the team's full-status D-I era (since 2010), and is five RBIs away from posting the most in program history by a left-handed batter (record: 45, Kalena Shepherd, 2022; Heidi Stocks, 2008). Her .827 slugging percentage is also on pace to break the overall single-season record of .760, set by Brittney Vansway in 2017.
Hall and the Wolverines will be back in action on Tuesday against the BYU Cougars in Provo. First pitch is scheduled for 6 p.m. MDT, and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
