GREENWOOD, Ind. — For the second year in a row, Utah Valley softball placed five athletes on the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the organization announced in a press release on Tuesday.
Angelique Mann and Britney Moreno repeated as Academic All-District recipients, with Mann earning her third-straight award. Payge Armendariz and Bailey Marvin joined their fellow seniors on the team, with Armendariz winning the award for the second time after earning it in 2024. Sophomore Tatum Hall rounded out the honorees with the first award of her career.
The award is given annually to student-athletes who maintain 3.5 cumulative GPA while also appearing in 90% of their team's contests or starting 66%. Pitchers must appear in 17 games and pitch at least 25 innings to qualify. Each team can nominate a maximum of five student-athletes for the award.
Mann, a graduate student from Tallahassee, Fla., finished her bachelor's degree in Psychology in 2025 and completed a degree in Sports Management this spring, posting a cumulative GPA of 3.94. Mann saved her best season for last, posting career highs in hits, RBIs, runs, and doubles, and was one of four Wolverines to record 50 or more hits this year.
Moreno, a senior from La Habra, Calif., completed her bachelor's degree in university studies with a minor in Family Science this spring with a 3.62 GPA. Moreno posted arguably the best all-around season in program history, setting the single-season records for triples, runs scored, and total bases, while also setting new program career-bests in hits and triples.
Armendariz, a senior from Heber City, Utah, earned her bachelor's degree in Exercise Science and Recreation this spring with a 3.95 GPA. Armendariz was one of the top two-way players in the WAC this season, tossing a career-high 80.2 innings, including a pair of gritty complete game wins at BYU and against UT Arlington in a WAC Tournament elimination game. Armendariz also matched a career high in hits, while also hitting the most home runs of her career.
Marvin, a redshirt senior from Payson, Utah, completed her bachelor's degree this spring in Communications with a 3.91 GPA. Marvin was a breakout star for Utah Valley this season, hitting .317 with four home runs, eight doubles, and 31 RBIs as the Wolverines' primary designated player.
Hall, a sophomore from Spanish Fork, Utah, is majoring in Psychology and has a 3.82 GPA. Hall posted one of the most impressive individual seasons in program history, setting team records in RBIs (53), slugging percentage (.807), and on-base-percentage (.488), while also tying for the second-most home runs in the D-I era with 13. Her 13 home runs were the most by a left-handed batter in program history.
Moreno and Hall will advance to the CSC Academic All-America ballot, which will be announced after the conclusion of the 2026 Women's College World Series.
