Wolverines Place 6 on All-WAC Teams

5/5/2026 3:39:00 PM

ARLINGTON, Texas — Utah Valley's Britney Moreno was named the WAC Co-Defensive Player of the Year and first team All-WAC, headlining a program-record six Wolverines who earned All-League honors as the WAC announced its postseason awards on Tuesday.

Joining Moreno on the first team is middle infield partner Tatum Hall, who earned the first All-WAC honors of her career. Ry Binne, Lily Riley, and Amber Rodriguez were named to the All-WAC second team, and Angelique Mann earned All-Defensive Team accolades.

Moreno, a senior from La Habra, Calif., saved her best season for last, posting new career bests in essentially every offensive category. Moreno set a new program single-season record for triples with eight — ranking second in the nation entering the week — while also setting new career highs in home runs, doubles, hits, runs, and RBIs. Her 72 hits are the second-most in a single season in the D-I era behind only Madison Carr's 82 in 2022.

Hall, a sophomore from Spanish Fork, Utah, posted arguably the best offensive season by a left-handed batter in program history, recording the most home runs and RBIs and the best slugging percentage by a lefty in the full-status era (since 2010). Hall enters the WAC Tournament needing two more RBIs to set the overall single-season record, currently held by Brittney Vansway with 52.

Binne, a redshirt junior from Kelowna, BC, bounced back from an injury redshirt season with a strong 2026 campaign setting the table primarily out of the nine spot. Binne registered a career-high 41 hits and 22 runs scored, and has been one of the top contact hitters in the WAC, striking out just six times in 112 plate appearances. Binne was also one of the top defenders in the WAC, locking down the hot corner with just eight errors over the course of the season.

Riley, a sophomore from Oregon City, Ore., is the first non-two-way pitcher to be named All-WAC since 2018 after leading the team in ERA, wins, innings pitched, and strikeouts. Her 3.77 ERA is the team's best for a full regular season since 2021, and her 15 wins are the third-most in a single season behind only Tiffany Mills' 18 in 2012 and 17 in 2013. Against Utah, Riley registered her 100th strikeout of the season, becoming the sixth different pitcher in program history to reach that milestone.

Rodriguez, a junior from Covina, Calif., provided a steady presence in the lineup and in the field all season for the Wolverines. Rodriguez ranks only behind Moreno in multi-hit games this season with 19, including four in the final five games of the year. Rodriguez's 61 hits rank fifth in the WAC this season and are tied for the sixth-most in a single season in program history. Rodriguez has also been one of the tougher hitters to strike out, with just six in 169 plate appearances. On the defensive side, Rodriguez led the team with six outfield assists.

Mann, a graduate student from Tallahassee, Fla., played every inning in center field for the second straight season. Mann showed exemplary range, commanding the outfield and regularly making outstanding plays look routine. Mann also had her best offensive season as a Wolverine, posting a career-best .316 batting average, 50 hits, 12 doubles, and 30 RBIs.

The Wolverines will begin their WAC Tournament run on Wednesday against the Southern Utah Thunderbirds. First pitch is scheduled for 2 p.m. MDT, and the game will be streamed on ESPN+.
