FRISCO, Texas — Six members of the Utah Valley women's golf team have been named 2025-26 Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholars, recognizing their outstanding achievements in the classroom and on the course.
Representing Utah Valley on this year's prestigious list are Alyssa Butterfus (Sophomore), Chloe Jang (Junior), Maria Ortiz (Junior), Mia Pace (Sophomore), Rylie Rodriguez (Senior) and Valentina Zuleta (Senior).
The WGCA announced a total of 1,551 women's collegiate golfers from across the country as 2025-26 All-American Scholars. The honor is one of the most prestigious academic recognitions in collegiate golf, with selection criteria among the most rigorous in college athletics.
To earn WGCA All-American Scholar recognition, student-athletes must maintain a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or higher, remain amateurs and members of their team's roster through the conclusion of the season, and compete in at least 50 percent of their team's regularly scheduled competitive rounds through the conference championship.
"It's incredible," said Utah Valley head coach Juli Erekson. "These girls have earned it. Their hard work, dedication and determination to be scholars in the classroom has set the bar for our program. I'm grateful to them for setting such high standards and emphasizing the importance of not only graduating, but graduating with distinction."
The academic recognition follows another successful season for the Wolverines, who recorded six top-10 finishes in 10 stroke-play events during the 2025-26 campaign. Utah Valley opened the season with a third-place finish at the Utah Fall Intercollegiate, added a fourth-place showing at the Pizza Hut Lady Thunderbird Invitational, and posted three additional sixth-place finishes during the year, including at the 2026 WAC Women's Golf Championship.
