OREM — Utah Valley continues its season-opening homestand on Monday night as the Wolverines welcome in-state rival Utah to UCCU Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. MT, with the match broadcast live on ESPN+.

Utah Valley enters Monday's match with a 0-0-1 record after playing Big Ten foe Michigan to a 1-1 draw in its season opener Thursday night at UCCU Stadium.

Addie Olson scored the first goal of the 2026 season for the Wolverines, finding the back of the net in the 33rd minute to give UVU a 1-0 halftime advantage. Michigan evened the match on a penalty kick in the 54th minute before the two teams played scoreless the rest of the way.

Freshman goalkeeper Madeleine Boucher made five saves in her collegiate debut. Utah Valley outshot Michigan 14-13, with each team putting six shots on goal, while the Wolverines held a 9-3 advantage in corner kicks.

Utah also enters Monday's matchup at 0-0-1 after playing Weber State to a scoreless draw in its season opener Thursday night at Ute Field. The Utes outshot Weber State 17-4 and held a 7-2 advantage in shots on goal. Senior goalkeeper Anna Solomon made two saves to record Utah's first season-opening shutout since 2016.

Utah is in its sixth season under head coach Hideki Nakada. The Utes were picked to finish 11th in the 2026 Big 12 Preseason Poll after finishing the 2025 campaign with a 7-10-3 overall record and a 2-7-2 mark in Big 12 play. Utah returns 10 letterwinners and welcomed 18 newcomers to its roster this season, including six freshmen and 12 transfers.

Monday night will mark the 11th all-time meeting between Utah Valley and Utah. The Utes lead the series 7-2-1, but the Wolverines have won each of the last two meetings.

Utah Valley defeated Utah 2-0 at UCCU Stadium last season after earning its first win in the series with a 2-0 victory in Salt Lake City in 2024. The all-time series in Orem is tied at 1-1-1.

Monday's match will be the second of four consecutive home matches to open the season for Utah Valley. The Wolverines will also host Utah State on Aug. 24 and No. 15 Kansas on Aug. 27 at UCCU Stadium.

Brandon Crow and former Wolverine Amber Tripp will be on the call Monday night on ESPN+. Kickoff is set for 7:30 p.m. MT.
