8/3/2026 2:23:00 PM

OREM, Utah — Utah Valley women's volleyball announced its full 2026 schedule Monday. The Wolverines' loaded non-conference slate features five teams that advanced to the 2025 NCAA Tournament, highlighted by road trips to BYU, Utah, South Dakota and Kansas City. The schedule is complemented by Utah Valley's first Big West Conference campaign, which includes trips to Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara.

The Wolverines will open the season with a pair of tournaments over the first two weekends, beginning at the South Dakota Classic. Utah Valley will face host South Dakota, which finished 20-9 last season, before taking on NCAA Tournament second-round qualifier Northern Iowa on Friday, Sept. 4. The weekend concludes with a matchup against Air Force.

UVU will return to the Midwest for its second three-match tournament weekend at the Kansas City Klassic on Sept. 11-12. The Wolverines will face Drake for the first time in program history before meeting former WAC rival Kansas City in the evening match Sept. 11. The tournament wraps up with a Saturday morning contest against Radford of the Big South Conference.

The final week of non-conference play will once again feature matches against in-state opponents, beginning with a road match at BYU on Sept. 15 before traveling north to Logan to face Utah State on Thursday, Sept. 17. The Wolverines will host Weber State on Saturday, Sept. 19, to close out non-conference competition.

In their inaugural season in The Big West, the Wolverines will open conference play with four consecutive home matches. Their first conference road trip will take them to UC Irvine and UC San Diego on Oct. 9-10. Utah Valley will then head to California's capital for a matchup against Sacramento State in The Nest on Oct. 24 before returning to Southern California to face California Baptist and UC Riverside on Oct. 30-31.

The stretch run of the regular season includes four matches away from Orem, beginning with a trip to Cal Poly and UC Santa Barbara on Nov. 13-14. The Mustangs are coming off a Sweet 16 appearance in 2025 and are expected to contend near the top of the league in 2026. Utah Valley's final road trip of the regular season includes a visit to former WAC foe Cal State Bakersfield on Nov. 19 before concluding the regular season at CSUN on Nov. 20.

The top six teams in the final Big West standings will qualify for the Big West Championship, which will determine the conference's automatic bid to the 2026 NCAA Tournament. Cal Poly will host this year's championship in San Luis Obispo, with tournament play beginning Nov. 25 and continuing Nov. 27-28.
