OREM — Utah Valley men's golfers Andrew Hawk and Paxton Maxwell have been named 2025-26 NCAA Division I Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars by the Golf Coaches Association of America, recognizing their excellence on the course and in the classroom.

The pair were among 649 NCAA Division I student-athletes from 210 institutions to receive the honor.

To be eligible for GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar recognition, student-athletes must be a sophomore, junior or senior academically and athletically, compete in at least 50 percent of their team's competitive rounds, maintain a stroke average below 76.0 and own a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.2. Recipients must also be of high moral character and in good standing at their institution.

Maxwell earned the national academic honor following an outstanding sophomore campaign in which he was named to the All-WAC Second Team. The Magrath, Alberta, native led the Wolverines with a 71.7 adjusted scoring average over 33 rounds, recording one tournament victory, two top-three finishes and five top-10 results.

He claimed medalist honors at the Nassau Intercollegiate and added a runner-up finish at the Oregon State Invitational while providing a steady presence at the top of Utah Valley's lineup throughout the season.

Hawk also earned GCAA All-America Scholar recognition after competing in all 33 rounds for the Wolverines during the 2025-26 campaign. He posted a 75.6 adjusted scoring average and recorded a season-best seventh-place finish at the Air Silver Individual in Colorado Springs.

Utah Valley was one of 81 NCAA Division I programs with multiple GCAA Cobalt Golf All-America Scholar selections, with Hawk and Maxwell representing the Wolverines on this year's list.
