OREM—Utah Valley continues Big West play on the road Wednesday night as the Wolverines travel to face UC Irvine at Anteater Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7 p.m. MT (6 p.m. PT), with the match broadcast live on ESPN+.

Utah Valley enters the match with a 5-4-2 overall record and a 1-0-1 mark in Big West play after earning a 2-2 road draw at UC San Diego on Saturday night. The Wolverines opened their inaugural Big West season with a 7-1 victory over Cal State Bakersfield before picking up a point against the Tritons.

Sadie Beardall and Nixan Jackson each found the back of the net at UC San Diego. Utah Valley finished the match with a 31-13 advantage in shots and put 18 attempts on frame. Jackson led the Wolverines with eight shots, including four on goal, while Addie Olson recorded five shots and Kate Booth put all four of her attempts on frame.

Beardall enters Wednesday's match following a big week of honors. The senior forward was named Big West Offensive Player of the Week after recording three goals, one assist and seven points over Utah Valley's first two conference matches. She was also selected to the TopDrawerSoccer Women's Team of the Week. Beardall scored twice and added an assist in the 7-1 win over Cal State Bakersfield before scoring again at UC San Diego.

Utah Valley has scored 22 goals through 11 matches and enters Wednesday averaging 2.00 goals per game. The Wolverines lead The Big West in assists per game, points per game, scoring offense, shots per game, shots on goal per game, total assists, total goals and total points.

Nationally, Utah Valley ranks 27th in total assists, 29th in shots on goal per game, 30th in assists per game, 38th in shots per game and 43rd in total points. The Wolverines are averaging 16.36 shots and 7.82 shots on goal per match.

Jackson leads Utah Valley with 13 points on three goals and seven assists. Her seven assists lead The Big West and rank sixth nationally, while her 0.64 assists per match rank 11th in the country. Jackson has recorded five assists over UVU's last three matches, including a career-high-tying three against Weber State and two in the win over Cal State Bakersfield.

Beardall and Josie Clawson are tied for the team lead with four goals apiece. Beardall has added two assists for 10 points, while Clawson has eight points. The senior trio of Jackson, Beardall and Clawson has combined for 11 of Utah Valley's 22 goals this season.

Freshman Sam Curtis ranks second on the team with five assists, while Brynlee Austin has five points on two goals and one assist in five appearances.

Madeleine Boucher has started 10 matches in goal for Utah Valley and owns a 5-2-2 record with a 0.96 goals-against average and an .800 save percentage. The freshman has made 36 saves and recorded three shutouts. Boucher ranks third in The Big West in save percentage and fourth in both goals-against average and shutouts.

Utah Valley is ranked No. 4 in the West Region in the latest IWSOC Coaches Poll in partnership with United Soccer Coaches. The Wolverines are one of five Big West teams ranked in the region's top 10, joining No. 3 Cal Poly, No. 6 Long Beach State, No. 8 Cal State Fullerton and No. 9 UC Santa Barbara.

UC Irvine enters Wednesday with a 3-3-3 overall record and a 1-0-1 mark in Big West play. The Anteaters opened conference action with a 1-1 draw at Sacramento State before earning a 2-0 home victory over Cal State Bakersfield on Saturday.

The Anteaters have scored 11 goals while allowing 15 through nine matches and are averaging 11.6 shots per game. UCI has put 50 of its 104 shots on frame and has generated 49 corner kicks. Nine of the Anteaters' 11 goals this season have come in the second half.

Fiona Shin leads UC Irvine with six points on two goals and two assists. Mimi Yamamoto and Oona Hartman have each recorded five points on two goals and one assist, while Chifumi Sasaki has also scored twice.

Yamamoto enters Wednesday after scoring in each of UCI's first two Big West matches. She scored the 87th-minute equalizer at Sacramento State before adding an insurance goal in the win over Cal State Bakersfield. Sasaki scored the game-winning goal against the Roadrunners in her return after missing three matches.

Mimi Dominguez has one goal and two assists and leads the Anteaters with 20 shots and 11 shots on goal. Jasmyne Wheeler has recorded assists in two of UCI's last three matches, with both helpers coming on game-winning goals.

Savanna Arruda has started all nine matches in goal for UC Irvine and owns a 2-3-3 record with a 1.76 goals-against average and a .634 save percentage. Arruda has made 26 saves and recorded two shutouts, including a five-save clean sheet against Cal State Bakersfield.

Wednesday's match will mark just the second all-time meeting between Utah Valley and UC Irvine and the first as Big West opponents. UC Irvine leads the series 1-0-0 after earning a 2-0 victory over the Wolverines on Sept. 18, 2009, in Riverside, California. Wednesday will mark Utah Valley's first-ever match against the Anteaters in Irvine.
