At Utah Valley University ...

SENIOR ~ (2014-15): 3-4 overall record (1-3 duals) at heavyweight ... named to the WWC Coaches' Honor Roll ... battled through an injury plagued senior season ... went 2-2 at the season-opening Clarion Open with wins over Pitt's Lucas Chestnut and Edinboro's Warren Bosch ... picked up his lone dual win in conference action over Air Force's Marcus Malecek ... recorded all three of his season victories by decision ... will leave UVU fifth all-time in victories with a 74-36 career record. 

JUNIOR ~ (2013-14): 19-9 overall record (7-2 duals) ... NCAA Qualifier ... named Second Team All-WWC after taking second at the NCAA West Regional/WWC Championships on March 8 in Orem ... received an at-large selection to the NCAA Championships after being ranked as high as 12th in his weight class during the season ... named to the WWC Coaches' Honor Roll ... went 1-2 at his second trip to Nationals with a 8-6 decision over Lehigh's Max Wessell ... took fourth at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invite with a 4-2 record, including upset wins over three ranked opponents ... his fourth-place finish at the prestigious CKLV Invite is the highest ever by a Wolverine ... also placed seventh at the Midlands Championships with a 4-2 clip ... posted two seven-match winning streaks during the season ... led the team in victories (19) and pins (6) ... ranked 12th on the final Coaches' Panel Ranking and 15th on the RPI ... won six bouts by fall and 12 by decision. 

SOPHOMORE ~ (2012-13): 20-12 overall record (6-4 duals) ... NCAA Qualifier ... named First Team All-Conference after winning his first conference title at the NCAA West Regional/WWC Championships to receive his first berth to Nationals by going 2-0 at the tournament ... went 0-2 at his first NCAA Championships with losses to Penn State's Jimmy Lawson and Iowa State's Matt Gibson ... won the UVU Open on Jan. 5 with a perfect 3-0 record ... placed second at the Wolfpack Open on Nov. 11 with a 4-1 mark and third at the Cowboy Open on Nov. 3 with a 3-1 record ... went a perfect 5-0 in WWC duals and 8-0 vs. WWC competitors on the season ... second on the team in pins with 8 with third on the team in victories with 20 ... ranked 25th on the final RPI and 33rd on the final Coaches' Panel Ranking. 

REDSHIRT ~ (2011-12): Redshirted the season and went 11-4 while competing unattached at 197 pounds. 

FRESHMAN ~ (2008-09): 32-11 overall record (11-3 duals and 4-1 in WWC) ... led UVU in total wins on the season with 32 ... nominated and finished fourth in the voting for the Western Wrestling Conference Freshman of the Year ... won the 197 lbs. tournaments at the Best of the West Open on Nov. 22, 2008 and the UVU Open on Jan. 10, 2009 as he went a combined 7-0 ... went 3-0 at the Tracy Borah Duals in Gunnison, Colo. on Jan. 24, 2009 ... finished the year winning 12 of his last 13 matches ... won 13 bouts by pinfall, four by major decision and two by technical fall. 

Before Utah Valley:
Prepped at Layton High School ... posted a 40-0 record his senior season ... was a two-time State Champion ... a two-time high school All-American, having placed fifth at the High School Nationals as a senior and seventh as a junior ... also played football in high school, his team took second in State in 2008. 

Personal:
Graduated from Layton High School in 2008 ... enjoys making new friends and influencing people ... was also recruited by Oklahoma, Air Force, North Dakota, and Wyoming to name a few ... parents are James and Kate.
