FRESHMAN - (2007): Indoor: had a time of 9:27.78 in the 3,000m run at Boise State ... Outdoor: had a time of 15:39.78 in the 5,000m run at Long Beach State ... ran the 1500m run in a time of 4:01.09 at Utah State.

Prepped at American Fork High School ... lettered in cross country and track ... junior year team won the region cross country meet and finished second at state ... senior team AF finished third at state and second in region ... finished 5th at the region cross country meet and 8th in state ... that same year he finished third in the Footlocker (Junior Race) ... was second at the region cross country meet at 7th at state during his senior season ... finished third in region in the 2 miles race and 5th in state in the same event during senior track season ... earned All-Region and All-State honors two straight years ... was Academic All-Region three years and earned his Eagle Scout award.
