His father, Jody, ran track and cross country at UVU and was a Junior College All-American ... his dad then went on to finish his collegiate career at SUU where he was a part of the second highest NCAA team placement in school history.
His mother, Katie Benson, ran track and cross country at UVU and also won a National Championship while in high school at Mountain View.
His wife, Elina ran track and cross country in high school at Mountain View and posted a 10th-place state finish in XC.
Enjoys camping, hiking, rock climbing, spending time in the outdoors, spending time with his daughter, and playing video games.
Served a two-year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Hawaii.
An Eagle Scout.
