Played and started all 34 games for Utah Valley, leading the team to an outright WAC regular season championship and a national postseason tournament appearance in the NIT ... named Second Team All-WAC ... named to WAC All-Tournament team ... provided a consistent scoring on the wing, averaging 13.3 points per game while shooting 45.3% from the field and 34.9% from three-point range ... named WAC Player of the Week on Jan. 21 ... was one of the team's best perimeter scorers, ranking third in the WAC in three-pointers made (66) ... his ability to score in multiple ways made him a matchup nightmare for defenders ... scored a career-high 28 points in UVU's WAC Tournament Championship game against Grand Canyon ... had five 20-point-plus games ... scored three or more three-pointers in 11 times ... scored 21 points in a 115-59 win over Bethesda (Dec. 28) ... scored 22 points in an 85-83 win over UT Arlington in Texas ... scored 24 points in an 81-56 win over Tarleton State at the UCCU Center (Feb. 8) ... also scored 24 points in a 79-77 road win at Utah Tech (Feb. 20), knocking down a key shot down the stretch to lift UVU to the win ... scored 16 points, 18 points, 28 points, and 14 points in UVU's four postseason games.

REDSHIRT FRESHMAN (2023-24) 
Played in 32 games and made 31 starts in his first season with Utah Valley ... nearly averaged double figures at 9.5 points per game ... scored 20 or more points in four games during the season ... scored double digits in 15 games ... averaged 3.8 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game ... scored a season-high 26 points against Utah Tech (Jan. 20) ... also scored 25 points in his UVU debut on Nov. 6 against Carroll ... pulled down 10 rebounds in a win over Southern Miss (Nov. 19) ... had a season-high four assists against UTRGV (Feb. 22) ... knocked down five shots from long range at Stephen F. Austin (Feb. 1).

BEFORE UTAH VALLEY 
Played his freshman season at BYU where he appeared in six games ... averaged 3.5 points in his six games while shooting 44.4 percent from the field ... scored a season-high 10 points in a win over Western Oregon and added seven more in a win against Westminster. 

HIGH SCHOOL
Prepped at Union High School where he was named the Washington Interscholastic Basketball Coaches Association Mr. Basketball ... averaged 23.0 points, 8.5 rebounds, and 3.0 assists per game during his senior season ... holds the UHS record for points, made threes, assists, steals, and field goals made during his career ... earned All-4A Greater St. Helens League First Team honors ... was the 2020 GSHL Player of the Year ... helped UHS to 2019 and 2020  league and region titles ... helped team to a third place finish at state in 2020 ... high school coach was Blake Conley ... also played for the Washington Supreme

PERSONAL
Born Jan. 3, 2002 ... parents are Andy and Holly Toolson ... has one sister (Taryn) and four brothers (Dallin, Conner, Trevor, Drew) ... Tanner joins a trio of family members that have played basketball at Utah Valley ...Tanner’s brother, Conner Toolson, played at UVU from 2016-2019 ... his cousin, Ryan Toolson, played for the Wolverines (2003-04, 06-09) as did his cousin, Jake Toolson, from 2017-19 ... Tanner’s father, Andy, enjoyed a 10-year professional career that included a pair of seasons with the Utah Jazz ... studying exercise science at UVU ... served a church mission in Jacksonville, Florida.
