Utah Valley University softball coach Cody Thomson has announced the hiring of Allie Hancock-Schneemann to his coaching staff in September of 2021. Hancock-Schneemann spent the two previous seasons as the volunteer assistant at her alma mater, Brigham Young University.
 
Hancock-Schneemann helped BYU to a seventh straight West Coast Conference Championship and a berth in the Arizona State Regional this past season.
 
Prior to her time on staff with the Cougars, she played for four seasons and appeared in 129 games with BYU from 2015-19. She finished her senior season ranked No. 1 in the BYU record book in career fielding percentage. She was also named to the West Coast Conference Commissioner's Bronze Honor Roll in 2018.
 
A native of Gilbert, Arizona, she graduated from BYU in 2020 with a degree in Exercise and Wellness. She married her husband, Daniel, in 2018. Daniel currently plays in the Cleveland Indians organization.
