Ashton Gordon enters her first season on the Utah Valley women's soccer staff as the team's Director of Operations.
"We feel very fortunate to have Ashton joining our staff," said Lemay. "She comes with great experience having played and coached in the SEC and ACC. Ashton knows the game, understands the landscape of a high-level Division I program, is very well-organized, and will be able to connect with the players. Continuing to bring in talented people is always exciting, and we feel like we just made the program better with the addition of Ashton."
Gordon joins the Wolverines after serving as an assistant coach for the University of Pittsburgh women's soccer team during the 2024 season. During her tenure, she played an important role in guiding the Panthers to a 9-6-3 overall record, including five wins at home and a 2.22 goals-per-game average. She began at the University of Arkansas, where she made 28 appearances and tallied five assists over two seasons, before transferring to Pitt. With the Panthers, she became a pivotal figure in the program's historic rise, starting 63 of her 64 matches and helping the team reach its first NCAA National Quarterfinal and ACC Semifinal in 2023. She earned recognition on the TopDrawerSoccer National Top 100 list in 2023 and excelled academically, earning All-ACC Academic Team and ACC Academic Honor Roll honors.
In addition to her collegiate experience, Gordon coached at the youth level with Century United in Pittsburgh, serving as both a head and assistant coach across various age groups. She also earned her USSF C License in July 2023, further cementing her credentials as a rising star in coaching. Gordon also currently coaches locally for the club, La Roca.
"I am so grateful for the opportunity to join the UVU women's soccer staff," Gordon said. "This program has been moving in an incredible direction, and I am excited to be a part of something that has so many great things in store. I hope to support the players and staff in achieving things that have never been achieved before."
