The UVSC wrestling team will take on Western State College on Saturday at 7:00 pm. The duel meet will be held in the UVSC Activity Center. The Wolverines are back home where they defeated North Idaho College last month in front of a full house.

Wolverine Update: Most recently the Wolverines wrestled in the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational. The historic Cliff Keen was host to 43 teams in NCAA Division I and II. UVSC had a nice showing placing 24th in the annual event. Erkin Tadzhimetov went 5-3 in the two-day tournament and placed 6th. Darren Cooper went 3-2 and was just one round short of placing.

Western State Update: The Mountaineers joined Utah Valley State in the field of 43 teams at the Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational last week. 125-pounder, Jared Haberman went 5-2 in Las Vegas and placed 5th overall in his weight class. Matt Trout and Kipp Cullin both wrestled in placing matches before falling. As of November 21st, Western State was ranked 7th nationally in NCAA Division II.
