The Wolverines host Portland State in their final home match of the season and the last home match ever for seniors Erkin Tadzhimetov and Ivan Bigney.
The 2:00pm match will take place between sessions at the Utah State high school wrestling tournament.
Utah Valley is coming off of a tough loss to North Dakota State, 19-16. After falling behind 16-3 early, the Wolverines roared back to tie it at 16 before the final match between Justin Rawle and NDSU's Gabe Mooney at 149 pounds. Mooney scored a close 4-2 decision that saw Rawle nearly score a takedown with :20 seconds left in the match.
Talon Vickers and Dallin Norton both won their sixth consecutive match against the Bison. Erkin Tadzhimetov won his 27th match of the season and still has a chance to extend his school record for wins in a season to 30 should he win in the final three duals of the season.
About the Opposition ...
Portland State is 3-16 overall and 0-6 in Pac-10 wrestling pending a match up Friday night at Boise State. They are coached by Marlin Grahn who is in his 22nd season at Portland State. During his tenure, the Vikings have won two Division-II National Championships.
The Wolverines and Vikings met earlier in the season in Portland with Utah Valley State scoring a 30-15 win. UV leads the all-time series with PSU 3-0.

The Wolverines will travel to Greeley, Colorado for the Northern Colorado Duals on February 24th. They will take on Air Force and Northern Colorado at the duals.
