EDINBURG, Texas - Utah Valley rolled to a 30-14, 30-23, 30-11 sweep at Texas-Pan American on Saturday to win its fourth straight match on the season.
"The girls were on fire today," said head coach Sam Atoa. "It didn't matter who we had on the court, everyone played a fabulous match. It was a display of great volleyball...I was really proud of all the girls."
The Wolverines (16-6), who have now won 11 out of 12, were led by Terin Ledall's 11 kills and 26 digs from Allyce Wilson. Complete stats will be available on Sunday.
Wilson, who had 36 digs in Thursday's win over Boise State, averaged 8.9 digs per game in two matches this week.
Utah Valley improved to 2-0 on the season against UTPA (9-16) and 6-0 against fellow Division I independent schools.
The Wolverines will be busy next week with matches against Utah (Tuesday) at Utah State (Thursday) and Idaho State (Saturday). Tuesday's match against in-state rival Utah will start at 7pm in the Shurian Family Activity Center.
