UVU OPENS WAC TOURNAMENT WITH FRIDAY SEMIFINALUtah Valley University enters this week's 2015 WAC Men's Soccer Tournament as the No. 2 seed and with a bye into Friday's semifinal match where they'll face third-seeded UNLV at 4:30 p.m. CT/3:30 p.m. MT. The game will air live on the WAC Digital Network.
UNLV defeated San José State, 3-1, in Thursday's first quarterfinal match. The winner of Friday's contest advances to Sunday's championship at 1 p.m. CT with an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament on the line.

"UNLV is an experienced and organized side that has quickly turned into a hard-fought conference rivalry," UVU head coach
Greg Maas said. "We've had a great week of training, we're healthy, and the team is ready to put our best foot forward in the conference semifinal."
The Wolverines dropped their regular season finale last Saturday to No. 15 Seattle, the WAC regular season champion, 2-0. Utah Valley is led by first-team All-WAC selection
Alex Neff at center back with forward
Skyler Milne, a second-team selection, leading UVU with eight goals.
Paul Hoffmeister,
Karson Payton and
Collin Partee were also named second team all-conference. Freshman
Aaron Meyer ranks third in the nation with 11 assists but was not selected to the All-WAC squad.
ABOUT THE OPPOSITIONUNLV is last season's regular season and tournament champion, earning the WAC's 2014 NCAA bid by advancing on penalty kicks in the championship against CSU Bakersfield. The Rebels are 2-0 all-time against UVU including a 2-1 overtime win on Oct. 25 in Las Vegas.
Sophomore Danny Musovski leads all WAC players with 14 goals and on Wednesday was named the WAC Offensive Player of the Year. Shota Takada, who scored the game-winner against the Wolverines, also scored in Thursday's quarterfinal.
