OREM, Utah--The Utah Valley University women's basketball team will return home to host Idaho State and UC Davis before they begin Western Athletic Conference play. Idaho State will travel to the UCCU Center on Dec. 29 at 3 p.m. MT, while UC Davis will play the Wolverines on Dec. 31 at 1 p.m. MT in the PE Building.
LAST TIME OUT
The Wolverines enter the week of contests after picking up a road win at Omaha 74-59 on Dec. 22. The home slate marks the last contests before Western Athletic Conference play begins on Jan. 7 at New Mexico State.
Utah Valley is 4-1 at home, and the win over Idaho State busted a five game slump for the Wolverines.
"We are looking forward to coming off the break and having two challenging games at home," head coach
Cathy Nixon said. "Both Idaho State and UC Davis are quality programs that will help us prepare for our conference play that starts the first week of January where we will be tested right out of the gate. These last preseason games are important for us to gain some momentum going into WAC play and continue to progress in the process."
