OREM, Utah -- Utah Valley University right fielder
Mark Krueger collected four hits, including three doubles, but Saint Mary's outscored the Wolverines, 18-9, on Sunday afternoon at Brent Brown Ballpark to take three of four in the series. In addition to combining for 27 runs, the teams totaled 43 hits, with 27 coming from the Gaels (10-6).
Saint Mary's scored in five of the nine innings, including the first three in building a comfortable 11-1 advantage after just three innings. The Wolverines (3-11) added two runs in the eighth and six in the ninth to cut into the deficit.
Kody Moon came off the bench and was 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and three RBIs.

Zac Fuller and Moon each had two to add to Krueger's four-hit day. Connor Hornsby was 5-for-6 with three RBIs for Saint Mary's while Collin Ferguson homered for the third time in the last two games and drove in four runs while reaching base six times -- twice via intentional walk.
Patrick Wolfe (1-2) took the loss for UVU while Cameron Neff struck out nine in 6.0 innings to get the win for the Gaels. Utah Valley freshman

Braden Poole combined for 4.1 scoreless innings of much-needed relief, striking out five combined.
The Wolverines finish off the early season five-game homestand against University Parkway foe BYU on Tuesday. First pitch is scheduled for 6 pm MT.
