UTAH VALLEY WRAPS UP WAC ROAD PLAY AT UTRGV, NM STATE
The Utah Valley University women's soccer team wraps up road play this week as the team travels to play the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley and New Mexico State on Friday and Sunday, respectively.
Utah Valley (6-6-1, 0-2-0) looks to snap a three-game losing streak at UTRGV and New Mexico State this week. The Wolverines are without a win in the month of October as the team opened WAC play last week with a 1-0 loss to CSU Bakersfield and a 2-1 double overtime setback at Grand Canyon. UVU took a 1-0 lead on a
Sydney Fitzpatrick goal in the 70th minute at Grand Canyon on Sunday, but couldn't close out the match as the 'Lopes tied the game to send it into overtime where GCU scored the game winner in the 106th minute.
Alexis Peterson leads the Wolverines with five goals and 10 points this season.

Taylor Kirk and Fitzpatrick each own two goals, while seven other Wolverines have each scored at least one goal this season. Freshman
Breanna DeWaal leads the Wolverines with 41 shots, including a team-best 14 shots on goal. She also fronts UVU with three assists.
Breanna McCarter ranks second on the team with 21 shots. Nielsen leads the team in the box with a 4-2-1 record with two shutouts. She has 38 saves and owns a .864 save percentage on the season.
As a team, Utah Valley has netted 18 goals while allowing opponents just 15. The Wolverines average 14.5 shots a match with a .386 shots on goal percentage. The Wolverines are holding opponents to just a .097 shot percentage while limiting opponents to a 1.15 goals per game average. UVU also holds a 189-155 shots advantage and a 74-56 edge on corner kicks.

UT Rio Grande Valley holds a 9-3-1 overall record this season. The Vaqueros head into Friday's match fresh off a record-breaking 5-1 win over Chicago State on Oct. 9. Freshman Sarah Bonney recorded six points on two goals and two assists to break the UTRGV records for points (24) and goals (10) in a season. Bonney earned WAC Offensive Player of the Week honors for her performance. UTRGV has tallied a WAC-best 37 goals this season while allowing only nine. Bonney has scored 10 of UTRGV's 37 goals this season. She also leads the team with 28 shots on goal. Bonney is tied with teammate Andreya Barrera with four assists. Kinga Szemik and Erica Gonzalez have each played seven matches in the box with Szemik leading the team with 22 saves.

Utah Valley and UTRGV meet on the pitch for just the fourth time on Friday evening. UVU holds an all-time 3-0-0 record against the Vaqueros, including a 1-0-0 all-time mark against UTRGV in Edinburg. The Wolverines defeated UTRGV 2-0 last season in Orem.

ABOUT NEW MEXICO STATE
New Mexico State heads into the week with a 4-9-1 overall record. The Aggies have opened WAC play with a 1-0-1 mark. NM State has a three-match unbeaten streak dating back to a 4-0 win at home over Arizona Christian. The Aggies then opened WAC play with a 2-1 win over Chicago State at home before playing UMKC to a 1-1 tie in Kansas City. Sophomore midfielder Alleen Gallcia leads the Aggie offense with six goals this year. She also has an assist and leads the team in points (13), shots (30), and shots on goal (18). Sophomore keeper Ashley Martin leads NMSU in the box with a 3-7-1 record. She has recorded 87 saves while allowing 27 goals this season. Martin was named this week's WAC Defensive Player of the Week after tallying 13 saves and a .929 save percentage in a pair of WAC matches last week. NMSU has scored 16 goals this season while allowing 27.

Utah Valley and New Mexico State meet on the pitch for the fifth time on Sunday morning. UVU holds an all-time 3-0-1 advantage over the Aggies. The two teams match up in Las Cruces for the third time with UVU holding an all-time 2-0-0 record over NMSU in the City of Crosses.

UTAH VALLEY'S HOME UNBEATEN STREAK HALTED AT 14 MATCHES
Utah Valley dropped a 1-0 decision to CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 7 in the team's WAC opener at Clyde Field, snapping the Wolverines' 14-match home unbeaten streak. The setback marks Utah Valley's first loss at Clyde Field since falling to Seattle U on Nov. 1, 2014. It also marks just the third loss at Clyde Field over the past three seasons for UVU.
HOME SWEET CLYDE FIELD
Despite its Clyde Field unbeaten streak coming to an end at 14 matches, UVU has enjoyed tremendous success on its home pitch. The Wolverines have lost just three matches at home over the past three seasons, posting an impressive 20-3-4 record. UVU holds an all-time 65-32-10 mark at home since the Wolverines became a Division I member in 2003. UVU went unbeaten at home last season with a 9-0-1 record. The team extended its Clyde Field unbeaten streak to 14 matches with its 2-1 overtime win over Grand Canyon on Sept. 26 before it was halted with a loss to CSU Bakersfield on Oct. 7. The Wolverines ranked 24th (1,074 per game) nationally in attendance at Clyde Field last season. UVU ranks 16th in the nation in attendance after welcoming an average of 1,333 fans through the gates though five home matches this year.
UVU RANKED NO. 10 IN NSCAA TOP-10 WEST REGION POLL
Utah Valley remains in the No. 10 spot in the NSCAA West Region Top-10 poll. UVU is ranked No. 10 in this past week's poll after dropping a pair of WAC matches last week to CSU Bakersfield and Grand Canyon. The Wolverines have been ranked as high as No. 8 in the poll this season.
UTAH VALLEY'S HOLDS SECOND-BEST RPI IN WAC
After debuting at No. 82 in the NCAA's first RPI release of the season on Sept. 19, Utah Valley now holds the No. 145 RPI rating in the country, according to the NCAA. UVU holds the second best RPI in the WAC at 145 behind Seattle U's 128 ranking. UVU is followed by Grand Canyon (175), CSU Bakersfield (200), UMKC (215), UTRGV (296), New Mexico State (306) and Chicago State (330).

Brooklyn Nielsen holds the highest individual national ranking on the team as she ranks 24th nationally in save percentage at .864. She also ranks 34th nationally and first in the WAC with a .675 goals against average. The Wolverines rank second in the WAC in assists per game at 1.23. UVU leads the WAC with 74 corner kicks this season. The team ranks third in the WAC in shots (190), points (52), assists (16), and goals against average (1.09).
KIRK AND CALLISTER ENTER ALL-TIME UVU CAREER CHARTS
Senior forward
Taylor Kirk ranks in the top-10 in three different all-time UVU career statistical rankings. Kirk is tied for fourth all time with six game-winning goals, just two away from the all-time best mark of eight. Kirk is tied for ninth all-time in career goals with 13 and ranks 10th all-time in points with 35.
Sara Callister is 10th all-time in assists with 10.
LOOKING AHEAD
Utah Valley will wrap up regular season play with three straight matches at home against Chicago State (Oct. 20), UMKC (Oct. 22) and Seattle U (Oct. 28). The 2016 WAC Tournament will take place Nov. 3-6 in Kansas City, Mo.
