OREM, Utah—The Utah Valley University men's basketball team plays its second game of a three-game road stretch as the Wolverines take on WAC leader New Mexico State on Saturday at the Pan American Center in Las Cruces, N.M. Tipoff is set for 7 p.m. MT.

Utah Valley heads into Saturday's contest with a 10-13 overall record. UVU picked up an 88-77 road win at UT Rio Grande Valley on Thursday night to improve to 4-4 in league play. UVU now owns the fifth spot in the league standings.

Marcel Davis scored a game-high 23 points to lead UVU in the road win at UT Rio Grande Valley. Jaden Jackson helped with 15 points, while Dayon Goodman scored a career-high 14 points. Ivory Young and Hayden Schenck scored eight points apiece in the victory.

Jackson leads the Wolverines in scoring this season at 14.7 points a game. Konner Frey and Marcel Davis are also averaging double figures at 14.4 and 13.8 points per game, respectively. Frey fronts the team in rebounding at 6.9 boards a game. Davis leads the team in assists at 4.6 a game, while Andrew Bastien leads the team in blocks at 1.7 a contest.

New Mexico State heads into Saturday's game with a 15-8 overall record. The Aggies took over sole possession of the top spot in the WAC with a 70-50 win over Grand Canyon on Thursday night at the Pan Am Center. Thursday night's win marked NMSU's 32nd straight win over a WAC team at home.

Pascal Siakam led the Aggies with his NCAA leading 20th double-double as he collected a game-high 17 points with 16 rebounds along with three assists and two blocks in Thursday's win over GCU. Ian Baker tallied 13 points with seven boards and four assists, while Johnathon Wilkins helped with 12. Siakam leads the Aggies in both scoring and rebounding this season at 22.0 points and 12.1 rebounds a contest.

The Aggies are coached by Marvin Menzies who is in his ninth season with the team. He is the third winningest coach in NM State history and has led the team to four consecutive NCAA Tournament berths.

Saturday's meeting with the Aggies marks the sixth time that the two schools have met on the basketball hardwood. The Aggies hold an all-time 4-1 advantage over the Wolverines, including a 78-66 win over UVU in Orem on Jan. 7. Utah Valley's lone win in the series was a 66-61 victory in Orem on Feb. 27, 2014—a win
that helped UVU secure its WAC regular season title in 2014.

Saturday's game will tip-off at 7 p.m. MT. The game will be televised by AggieVision with Adam Young (play-by-play) and Patrick Knapp (analyst). The telecast will be carried by Comcast Cable in New Mexico and also air live on Fox Sports Arizona Plus (DirecTV 686-1, Dish 447/9517), Fox Sports Southwest Plus (DirecTV 676-2, Dish 447/9517), Fox College Sports, ESPN College Extra, ESPN3 and the WAC Digital Network.
