OREM--The Utah Valley women's soccer team will take its three-match win streak on the road this weekend as the team travels to play Wyoming on Friday in Laramie and Colorado College on Sunday in Colorado Springs.
Utah Valley enters Friday's matchup at Wyoming with a 4-1-0 overall record. The Wolverines picked up a 2-1 win over UNLV last week at Clyde Field to extend its home unbeaten streak to 12 matches. The win over the Rebels was UVU's lone match of the week.
Abby Jameson scored her second game winner of the season against UNLV as the senior defender found a deflected corner kick near the top of the box and fired it off the left post and into the back of the net for the score.
Kalli Suesue also scored against UNLV as she received a pass into the box and one-touched it past the Rebel keeper for the goal.

Alexis Peterson leads the Wolverines with three goals and six points on the year. Six other Wolverines have each scored at least one goal this season. Freshman
Breanna DeWaal leads the Wolverines with 16 shots, including a team-best six shots on goal.
Breanna McCarter ranks second with 10 shots, including a pair on net.

Friday's match at Wyoming will kickoff at 4:30 p.m., while Sunday's game at Colorado College will begin at 11 a.m. Both matches will be streamed live on the Mountain West Network at www.themw.com/page/watch-live.
ABOUT WYOMING
The Cowgirls enter Friday's match with a 3-2-1 record--the second-best record in the Mountain West Conference. Wyoming most recently picked up a 4-1 win over New Mexico State last Sunday. The Cowgirls scored a season-high four goals in the team's largest margin of victory since a 3-0 win over Fresno State on Sept. 27, 2015. Wyoming senior defender Katie Marcheso has scored three goals in her last three matches and is tied for second in the Mountain West in scoring. Senior forward Anne Hinman leads the Cowgirls with 14 shots. She scored her first career goal in Sunday's win over the Aggies. The Cowgirls have not dropped a home match to a non-conference opponent since the 2013 season. Wyoming is coached by Pete Cuadrado who is in his fifth year with the team. He holds a 39-36-12 record at Wyoming.
SERIES HISTORY VS. WYOMING
Utah Valley and Wyoming meet on the pitch for the seventh time on Friday afternoon with Cowgirls holding a 5-1-0 all-time series advantage. UVU holds an all-time 0-2-0 mark in games played in Laramie. Utah Valley picked up a 3-0 win over Wyoming in Orem the last time the two teams met on Sept. 5, 2014.
ABOUT COLORADO COLLEGE
The Tigers welcome Utah Valley to Colorado Springs for the team's first home match of the season. Colorado College has opened the season with a 2-2-0 record. The team split a pair of road matches last week, picking up a 1-0 win at Pittsburgh before dropping a 4-1 decision at Georgetown. The Tigers average 1.5 goals per match. Sophomore forward Clara Richter leads CC with three goals this season, while sophomore midfielder Lauren Millet has two. The Tigers are coached by Geoff Bennett who is in his 13th season with the team. He holds a 136-79-33 record at CC.
SERIES HISTORY VS. COLORADO COLLEGE
Utah Valley and Colorado College meet for just the second time in the two team's history. Colorado College holds an all-time 1-0-0 record over the Wolverines. The lone match of the series was on Nov. 4, 2004 in Colorado Springs with the two teams playing to a 0-0 tie in double overtime.
UVU MOVES UP TWO SPOTS IN NSCAA TOP-10 WEST REGION POLL
Utah Valley entered the NSCAA West Regional Top-10 rankings this last week at No. 10. After a win over UNLV this past week, the Wolverines have moved up to spots to No. 8 in this week's poll.
UVU KEEPS HOME UNBEATEN STREAK ALIVE WITH 2-1 WIN OVER UNLV
Utah Valley extended its unbeaten home streak to 12 matches with a 2-1 win over UNLV Friday night at Clyde Field.
Kalli Suesue gave the Wolverines and early 1-0 lead in the fourth minute.
Sara Callister dribbled through a defender's legs near the end line on the right side and passed it into the box where Suesue one-touched it past the keeper and into the back of the net for the score. The goal was the first of the season for the senior defender and the second of her career. Utah Valley took a 2-0 advantage in the 22nd minute after
Abby Jameson found a deflected corner kick near the top of the box and fired it off the left post and into the back of the net. It marks the second goal of the season for Jameson, who also scored in the home win over Southern Utah last week. UNLV's Lily Sender scored the Rebels' lone goal of the match in the 77th minute. Brooklyn Nielsen picked up her second win of the season in the box, improving to a perfect 2-0-0 on the year. The freshman keeper registered an impressive eight saves.
HOME SWEET CLYDE FIELD - UNBEATEN STREAK AT 12 MATCHES
Utah Valley has enjoyed an impressive 19-2-3 at Clyde Field over the past two seasons. The Wolverines hold an all-time 64-32-9 mark at home since UVU became a Division I member in 2003. UVU went unbeaten at home last season with a 9-0-1 record. The team extended its Clyde Field unbeaten streak to 12 matches with its win over UNLV last week. The Wolverines ranked 24th (1,074 per game) nationally in attendance at Clyde Field last season. UVU already ranks 11th in the nation in attendance after welcoming an average of 1,594 fans through the gates though two home matches this year.

Utah Valley's highest national statistical ranking is in scoring offense. The Wolverines rank 61st nationally averaging 2.0 goals per match. The team ranks 77th nationally in total goals with 10. Individually, UVU senior defender

Brooklyn Nielsen ranks 35th in the nation with a .882 save percentage. She also ranks 58th nationally with a .697 goals against average.
KIRK ENTERS ALL-TIME UVU CAREER CHARTS
Senior forward
Taylor Kirk ranks in the top-10 in three different all-time UVU career statistical rankings. Kirk is tied for fourth all time with six game-winning goals, just two away from the all-time best mark of eight. She ranks 10 all-time in points with 33 and also ranks 10th in careers assists with nine.
UVU'S NIELSEN NAMED WAC DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Brooklyn Nielsen has been named the Western Athletic Conference Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week for her play Aug. 22-28. The honor marks the first-ever WAC Player of the Week honor for Nielsen. Nielsen, a freshman from Sandy, Utah (Jordan HS), helped the Wolverines to a pair of shutout wins this past week. Nielsen made her first career start in a 1-0 shutout road victory over Oklahoma. She helped UVU snap OU's 11-match unbeaten streak at home with the win. Nielsen faced 12 OU shots and made a pair of late saves to secure the victory. She also had a pair of saves in the second half of UVU's 2-0 win over in-state rival Southern Utah on Friday night.
UVU SNAPS OKLAHOMA'S HOME UNBEATEN STREAK, SHUTOUT SOONERS 1-0
Taylor Kirk's first half goal led the Utah Valley University women's soccer team to a 1-0 shutout road win over Oklahoma, snapping the Sooner's 11-match home unbeaten streak Sunday afternoon at John Crain Field. The win pushes UVU's record to 3-1-0 on the season. The loss is the first of the season for Oklahoma, which falls to 2-1-1 on the year. Prior to Sunday's setback to the Wolverines, OU's last loss at John Crain Field came back on Nov. 14, 2014 against Arkansas in the NCAA Tournament. Kirk found the back of the net in the 16th minute after making a move past the OU keeper and firing a shot with her left foot to an open goal just out of the reach of an Oklahoma defender.
Sara Callister earned the assist on the score. Oklahoma just edged the Wolverines on shots, 11-10, but UVU tallied six shots on goal compared to OU's two.
Breanna DeWaal led the Wolverines with three shots, including one on net.
Brooklyn Nielsen was credited with the win in the box in her first complete match of the season. The freshman keeper recorded a pair of saves in her first start of the year.
LOOKING AHEAD
Following this weekend's Rocky Mountan road trip, Utah Valley returns to Orem, Utah to host in-state rival Utah on Sept. 16 at 7 p.m.
