OREM — Former Utah Valley women's soccer standout Sierra Pennock has signed her first professional contract, joining SK Slavia Prague of the Czech Women's First League.
Pennock becomes the latest Wolverine to begin a professional playing career after signing with one of the Czech Republic's most successful clubs. Slavia Prague has won 11 Czech league championships and is a regular contender for UEFA Women's Champions League qualification.
"Sierra has earned this opportunity to continue to play at the professional level in Europe," said Utah Valley head coach Chris Lemay. "We are really proud of her work. She loves the game, loves to compete and has some special qualities that will ensure her success. Yet another UVU player able to continue to develop in our program and realize their dream to sign a pro contract is exciting."
Pennock joined the Wolverines for the 2025 season and played a key role in one of the best campaigns in program history. Utah Valley finished 14-5-3 overall, captured its fourth consecutive Western Athletic Conference regular-season championship, and earned an at-large berth to the NCAA Tournament.
The Lindon, Utah, native appeared in all 22 matches with 18 starts, recording two goals and six assists for 10 points while logging 1,246 minutes in the midfield. She tied for fourth on the team with six assists and helped power a Utah Valley offense that ranked second nationally in total goals, assists, and points while finishing third in NCAA Division I in scoring offense.
Pennock now joins a Slavia Prague program based in Prague, Czech Republic, and will begin her professional career in one of Europe's top women's football environments.
Pennock becomes the latest Wolverine to reach the professional ranks under head coach Chris Lemay. She joins a growing list of former Utah Valley standouts now playing or that have played professionally, including Faith Webber (Denver Summit FC/Tampa Bay Sun FC), Ruby Hladek (Seattle Reign FC), Heather Stainbrook (Washington Spirit/Dallas Trinity FC), Idalia Serrano (Volos 2004), Jaylyn Wright (Vancouver Rise FC), and Amber Tripp (FC Famalicão/AC Sparta Prague).
