OREM, Utah – Utah Valley University men's soccer player Skyler Milne made program history when he became the first Wolverine to sign a professional contract, inking a deal with the Real Monarchs.

"I couldn't be more proud of Skyler Milne for signing our program's first professional contract," said UVU head coach Greg Maas. "Skyler's impact on our program has been remarkable, he's worked incredibly hard to earn this opportunity, and I am confident he will have an even greater impact at the professional level."

Milne graduated from Utah Valley last December after leading the team to its first WAC Championship in the fall. He was a first-team All-WAC selection as a senior after scoring eight goals, three of which came during a tournament at Bradley. Milne was named Tournament MVP, the WAC Player of the Week and to College Soccer News National Team of the Week following the performance.

As a junior in 2015, Milne was a second-team All-WAC honoree and was also named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District 8 Team. The current career school-record holder with 20 goals and 47 points, Milne was also a three-time Academic All-WAC selection – in each of his three seasons at UVU. He also owns the first, and only, hat trick in program history, which came against San José State in 2015.
