UTAH VALLEY HOSTS CSU BAKERSFIELD, TRAVELS TO PLAY CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
The Utah Valley University women's soccer team continues WAC play this week as the team hosts CSU Bakersfield on Friday night at Clyde Field. The team's seniors will be featured as part of senior night before the match, which kicks off at 7 p.m. UVU will then travel to play WAC newcomer California Baptist on Sunday in Riverside, California at 2 p.m. (MT).
The Wolverines head into Friday's match fresh off a 6-0 shutout victory over Chicago State last week.
Sadie Brockbank became the first UVU player in school history to score four goals in a single match in the win over the Cougars. Brockbank becomes just the fourth player in the nation to score four goals in a single math this season.
Sara Callister and
Julianna Carter also found the back of the net in the victory. The six goals scored against CSU marks a single game season high for the Wolverines. The win also marks the team's first shutout of the season.
With her four goals last week, Brockbank now leads the Wolverines with 15 points this season, collecting a team-best six goals with three assists.
Whitney Paskins follows closely behind with four goals and one assist for nine points.
Sara Callister and
Julianna Carter each have two goals, followed by
Amber Tripp,
Breanna McCarter, and
Leesa Stowe with one goal each. Brockbank and Tripp front the team with three assists apiece. Brockbank leads the team with 40 shots, including a team-best 17 on frame.
Brooklyn Nielsen has played 11 games in the box, while
Sarah Davis has six games. Davis leads the team with a 1.55 goals against average, while Nielsen fronts the squad with 56 saves and a .737 save percentage.

CSU Bakersfield enters Friday night's match with a 4-9-0 overall record. The team holds a 1-3 mark in WAC play. CSUB dropped a pair of WAC matches at home last week, falling 4-3 to Seattle U before dropping a 3-1 decision to UT Rio Grande Valley. The Roadrunners are on a three-match skid. The team's last win was a 5-2 victory at Chicago State on Sept. 28. Senior forward Aminah Settles leads the team with five goals this season. She also has a team-high three assists for a team-high 13 points. Junior midfielder Aryana Harvey has three goals and one assist. Junior keeper Jordan Bertram leads the team in the box as she has saw time in 11 matches. Bertram leads the team with 69 saves and a 1.80 goals allowed per game average.

Utah Valley and CSU Bakersfield will meet on the pitch for the 11th time on Friday night. The Wolverines hold an all-time 8-2-0 series advantage over the 'Runners. UVU took a 1-0 win at Bakersfield last season and has won eight of the last nine matches in the series. The Wolverines hold a 3-2 record against CSUB at Clyde Field, where the 'Runners have picked up their only wins in the series.

California Baptist enters the week with a 10-2-1 overall record and a 3-1-0 mark in the WAC. The team has won three straight matches, including six of its last seven games. The team went 2-0-0 last week with a 3-0 win at home against New Mexico State and a 1-0 victory on the road at Grand Canyon. CBU is a perfect 6-0-0 at home this season. Sophomore keeper Romy Salvador leads the team in the box with a 6-1-1 record, including two shutouts. She has 37 saves and a 0.94 goals against average. Senior midfielder Desarae Felix leads the tem in scoring with eight goals this year. She also has three assists for a team-best 19 points. Junior forward Jordan Dow has four goals, while junior forward Miranda Hald and senior forward Lanai Navarro each have three. As a team, CBU has scored 27 goals with 22 assists, while limiting opponents to just 11 goals this season.
SERIES HISTORY VS. CALIFORNIA BAPTIST
Utah Valley and California Baptist meet on the pitch for just the second time on Sunday afternoon. The Wolverines won the only game in the series, 3-1, at Clyde Field on Sept. 10, 2005. This will mark the first meeting between the two schools as WAC members as the Lancers are in their first year of play in the league.

Utah Valley holds an impressive 72-35-11 all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just five matches over the past four seasons on the home pitch. UVU went 5-1-0 at home last season, including wins over Wyoming, Seattle U, New Mexico State, UT Rio Grande Valley, and Grand Canyon. RECORD-BREAKING CROWD
Utah Valley set a new single game women's soccer attendance record with its 3,211 fans at the Chicago State game on Oct. 5. The UVU marketing team invited several grades schools to the morning game and the schools showed up to set the new attendance mark.
