PHOENIX, AZ – The Utah Valley University women's golf team saw its record season come to a close on Wednesday as it completed a fourth-place finish in the Western Athletic Conference Championship at Legacy Golf Club.
 
The Wolverines finished their final tournament of the season with a solid 29-over-par after shooting a combined 881. UVU improved its team score by nine strokes from day two to three, and the 29-over 881 marked the second-best 54-hole team score in program history. 
 
Ana Raga led the way for Utah Valley at the championship with a 6-over-par 219 (75-75-71—219). Raga played her best round of the competition on day three, finishing strong with an even par 71 to be the team's top finisher in sixth place.
 
Utah Valley got a consistent performance out of Justine Lauer as she carded a 2-over-par 73 in round three, and finished 7-over-par overall to place 10th (73-74-73—220). Kaylee Shimizu saved her best round of the tournament for last, recording a 1-over-par 72 to put her at 8-over-par for the tournament and in 11th (74-75-72—221).
 
Carly Dehlin came in at 15th for the Wolverines with a 9-over-par 222 (71-76-75—222). Bailey Henley rounded out the lineup for Utah Valley, shooting a 16-over-par 229 (73-79-77—229) to place 25th.
 
Grand Canyon took home the team title and was followed by New Mexico State and Seattle. After Utah Valley, UMKC, UTRGV, CSU Bakersfield and Chicago State completed the standings.
