UTAH VALLEY TRAVELS TO PLAY COLORADO, RETURNS TO CLYE FIELD TO HOST OKLAHOMA
Utah Valley heads back out on the road this week to take on unbeaten Colorado on Thursday afternoon at Prentup Field in Boulder, Colo. The Wolverines will then return home to host Big 12 foe Oklahoma on Saturday at Clyde Field.

The Wolverines head into this week's games fresh off a pair of losses to Portland and Washington at the Nike Portland Invitational. UVU took 1-0 leads in both matches before dropping each game by a 2-1 decision. Sadie Brockbank scored the goal against Portland, while Julianna Carter found the back of the net for her first-ever collegiate goal against Washington.

Sadie Brockbank leads the Wolverines with four points this season, collecting one goal and a team-high two assists on the season. Breanna McCarter fronts the team with 23 shots, including team-high 10 on goal. McCarter, Whitney Paskins, Amber Tripp, Sara Callister, and Julianna Carter each have one goal on the year. Brooklyn Nielsen leads UVU in the box this season having logged 517 minutes. Nielsen has recorded 29 saves with a .744 save percentage. She also holds a 1.74 goals against average. Sarah Davis has the lone win of the season in goal after picking up the win at Cal Poly. She has eight saves this season in 220 minutes of action.

Thursday's match at Colorado will be streamed live on the Pac 12 Network at Pac12.com/live. Brad Thompson will be on the call for the match against the Buffs. Saturday's match at Clyde Field will be broadcast by both UVUtv and the WAC Digital Network. Each UVU home match will be streamed live on the WAC Digital Network at WACDigitalNetwork.com. Brandon Crow will be on the call along with former Wolverine Melanie Ostler.

ABOUT COLORADO
Colorado enters Thursday's matchup against Utah Valley with an unbeaten 6-0-1 record. The Buffs picked up a pair of road wins last week against Marquette and Michigan State. Colorado's only tie of the season wits a 0-0 double-overtime decision against in-state foe Colorado State. Colorado has wins over Air Force, Missouri, UTSA, Iowa State, Marquette, and Michigan State. The Buffs rank second nationally in assists (25), assists per game (3.57), and points per game (9.57). The team ranks ninth nationally with 21 goals this season. Junior forward Tatum Barton leads Colorado with eight goals this year, which ranks her third in the nation. Barton's 1.14 goals per game average leads the nation. Barton also ranks fourth nationally with 17 points. Junior midfielder Taylor Kornieck leads CU with six assists, which ranks her second in the country. Redshirt senior Scout Watson and redshirt junior Jalen Tompkins have split time in goal this season with Tompkins owning a 5-0-1 record and Watson a 1-0-0 record. Watson has not allowed a goal in 270 minutes, collecting 11 saves. Tompkins has allowed two goals in 380 minutes of action.

Utah Valley and Colorado will meet on the pitch for the first time on Thursday afternoon.

ABOUT OKLAHOMA
Oklahoma enter's this week's matches in Utah with a 2-4-1 overall record. The Sooners went 1-1 at home last week with a 4-1 win over USF and a 2-1 loss to California. OU is looking for its first road win of the season this week as the team plays at Utah on Thursday night before taking on UVU on Saturday night. In its seven matches , Oklahoma has yet to be held off the scoreboard. It is only the seventh time in program history that OU has gone at least five games without being shut out. Kaylee Dao and Ivanna Rivas lead the Sooners with four goals each this year. Marissa McMahand leads the team with four assists. McKinley Crone leads the team in the box with 39 saves, two wins, and a 1.57 goals allowed average. She has given up 11 goals.

ALL-TIME SERIES HISTORY VS. OKLAHOMA
Utah Valley and Oklahoma will meet on the pitch for just the second time in the two team's histories. Utah Valley upset the Sooners in the two team's only meeting with the Wolverines taking a 1-0 shutout victory on Aug. 28, 2016 in Norman. Taylor Kirk scored the game winner in the first half of the match and Brooklyn Nielsen picked up the shutout in goal for the Wolverines.

CLYDE FIELD MAGIC
Utah Valley holds an impressive 71-35-11 all time record at Clyde Field. The team has lost just five matches over the past four seasons on the home pitch. UVU went 5-1-0 at home last season, including wins over Wyoming, Seattle U, New Mexico State, UT Rio Grande Valley, and Grand Canyon. The Wolverines went 5-2-1 during the 2016 season and were unbeaten at home during the 2015 season with a 9-0-1 mark. UVU has consistently ranked in the top-40 nationally in attendance.

THREE WOLVERINES NAMED TO PRESEASON ALL-WAC TEAM, WOLVERINES PICKED SECOND IN WAC PRESEASON COACHES POLL
The Utah Valley University women's soccer team was selected to finish second in the 2018 Western Athletic Conference Preseason Poll and UVU players Hannah Bruce, Amber Tripp, and Brooklyn Nielsen were each named to the Preseason All-WAC team.
 
The Wolverines went 5-2 in WAC play last season and finished second in the regular season standings. The team went on to claim the 2017 WAC Tournament championship and earn the WAC's bid to the NCAA Tournament where it took on eventual national champion Stanford. The Wolverines have won the WAC Tournament title two times over the past three years.
 
UVU was projected to finish second after receiving four of the nine first place votes for a total of 57 points. The Wolverines finished just three points behind Kansas City, which received five first place votes for a total of 60 points. Seattle U was selected third (50), followed by Grand Canyon (38) in fourth, UT Rio Grande Valley (37) fifth, and New Mexico State (30) in sixth. CSU Bakersfield was picked seventh with 26 points with WAC newcomer California Baptist being selected eighth with 16 points. Chicago State rounded out he poll in ninth place with 10 points.
 
Bruce anchored the UVU defense to five shutouts last season, including a pair of clean sheets during WAC play and another in the semifinals of the WAC Tournament. The junior defender helped the squad hold its opponents to just 11.7 shots per match. Bruce also helped the offense with five assists last year. Bruce earned first team All-WAC honors for her play in 2017. Tripp earns a preseason all-WAC selection after ranking third on the team last season with five goals, including four during WAC play. The sophomore forward also tallied three assists for 13 points in 2017. She fired 27 shots, including 15 on goal. Tripp earned WAC Freshman of the Year honors for her play last year.
 Nielsen led Utah Valley with three shutouts in goal last season for the Wolverines. The junior keeper logged 1,612 minutes in the box last year and recorded a .635 save percentage. She picked up nine wins and allowed 31 goals on the 206 shots she faced.
