Amanda Mangelson each came off the bench and found the back of the net to lead the Utah Valley University women's soccer team to a 2-0 win over WAC leader California Baptist on Saturday night at Clyde Field. The win over CBU ends the Lancers seven match win streak.

"We thought that tonight that our team put together 75 to 80 minutes of really quality, disciplined soccer," said Utah Valley head coach
Chris Lemay. "There was a flurry 10 minutes into the second half where they had a lot of opportunities and we looked a little bit sluggish. We made some adjustments and brought some kids off the bench and to be honest, that's one of the things we're most proud of. The players that came in and provided big time minutes and changed the momentum back to the way it was, we were really happy about."

Utah Valley got on the scoreboard in the 41st minute as
Hannah Bruce dribbled the ball up the field and passed it to
Breanna DeWaal down the left side. DeWaal one-touched it into the box where
Nicole Olanda found the back of the net, giving the Wolverines a 1-0 advantage.Â

Utah Valley padded its lead in the 70th minute as
Cassidy McCormick sent a ball from the left side to
Brenna Crow. Crow then sent a cross into the box where
Amanda Mangelson one-touched it from the ground with her left foot for the score to give UVU a 2-0 lead.

Utah Valley out-shot CBU 18-12 on the night, including a 9-2 advantage on frame. The Wolverines had three corner kicks to CBU's two.
Heather Stainbrook led UVU with five shots, including a team-best four on frame.
Katie Haskins had three shots, while
Sadie Brockbank and
Jenna Shepherd each had two.Â

Allie Jara picked up her second straight shutout in the box for UVU. She had two saves on the night.

Utah Valley now travels to play Chicago State and Kansas City next week. The Wolverines will take on Chicago State on Friday before playing on Kansas City on Sunday.
