OREM, Utah – Former Utah Valley University women's soccer student-athlete Hannah Bruce is enjoying success after UVU as a professional soccer athlete and a Rhodes Scholar finalist at the renowned University of Oxford. The list of accomplishments for Hannah Bruce as a member of the women's soccer team at Utah Valley University are extensive. She appeared in 64 matches during her Wolverine career, anchoring one of the top defenses in the WAC. As a sophomore, she was named WAC Defensive Player of the Year and helped UVU to a WAC Tournament title and an NCAA Tournament appearance. Bruce earned first team All-WAC honors in both 2017 and 2019, and second-team honors in 2018. 
 
Bruce graduated from Utah Valley University with a perfect 4.0 GPA in December of 2019. She received Academic All-WAC honors in each of her four years at UVU and earned Academic All-District honors during her senior season. She represented the Wolverines as the WAC representative at the 2019 NCAA Leadership Forum in Orlando.
 
Since her graduation, her success has only continued to accelerate as she signed a professional contract with the Puerto Rico SOL and became the first student-athlete in UVU history to become a Rhodes Scholar finalist. Bruce is currently continuing her studies as a graduate student at Oxford.
