UTAH VALLEY HOSTS WESTMINSTER ON WEDNESDAY NIGHT AT UCCU CENTER
- After opening the season with a 1-1 record last week, Utah Valley returns home to take on Westminster on Wednesday night at the UCCU Center. Tip-off is set for 6 p.m.

- Trey Woodbury scored a career-high 24 points and Jamison Overton added 19 to lead the Utah Valley University men's basketball team in an 82-60 loss at BYU in a UCCU Crosstown Clash matchup on Saturday night at the Marriott Center. Fardaws Aimaq pulled down seven rebounds to go along with three points. Asa McCord scored six points with three rebounds.

- Woodbury was named College Sports Madness WAC Player of the Week for his performances in UVU's two games last week. The junior guard scored a career-high 22 points in a 100-75 win over Adams State in UVU's season opener before scoring a new career-high 24 points in a setback at BYU. Woodbury averaged 23.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game last week.

- Aimaq recorded a 24-point, 18-rebound double-double in his Utah Valley debut to lead the Wolverines to a 100-75 win over Adams State in the team's season opener on Thursday. Woodbury and Overton each tallied 22 points apiece. As a team, UVU shot a blistering 61.4 percent from the floor (43-70), including a 36 percent mark from long range (5-14). UVU held Adams State to 41 percent shooting. The Wolverines outrebounded ASU, 40-30.

- Aimaq's 18 rebounds on Thursday are the second-most ever recorded in a single game in UVU history. He was just one shy of tying the single game record of 19 set by Baylee Steel at BYU on Nov. 9, 2018.

- Overton earned the No. 5 spot on ESPN SportsCenter's Top-10 plays on Thursday night. His 360 degree fast break dunk got him the nod.

- Utah Valley returns just two letterwinners from last year's squad that finished with an 11-19 record and an eighth place finish in the WAC. Overton (7.2 ppg.) and Woodbury (7.2 ppg.) are back after combining to score an average of 14.4 points per game last season. The Wolverines return just 20 percent of its scoring from a season ago.

- Utah Valley lost 79.8 percent of its scoring from a season ago, which ranks eighth in the nation. Kentucky leads the nation in the replacement scoring category as the Wildcats lost 94 percent of its scoring from last season.

Wednesday's game against Westminster will be broadcast live on the WAC Digital Network, which is available at WACsports.com/Watch. Brandon Crow will be handling the play-by-play duties. The WAC Digital Network is also available on Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, and Roku TV. UVU will also send the feed out on its YouTube channel. KSL TV will also stream the game on the KSL TV app. The game will also be broadcast over the radio waves as Jim McCulloch enters his 11th season as the Voice of the Wolverines. Josh Kallunki will be handling the color commentary duties on the radio. The radio broadcast will be aired live on ESPN 960AM radio. ABOUT WESTMINSTER
Westminster is an NCAA Division II member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference. The Griffins are entering their second full year of full Division II status.. The team joined the RMAC in 2015. The team is reloading this season after losing all five of its starters from a season ago. The Griffins do return seven letterwinners and welcome seven transfers and one freshman. Brandon Willardson (4.5 ppg.) and Jarrett Jordan (3.8 ppg.) return after seeing time on the floor last season. Westminster opened the season with a 108-59 setback at BYU on Nov. 25. Redshirt junior guard Reme Torbert led the team with 16 points, while Jordan helped with 14. The Griffins shot 37 percent from the field, including a 40 percent clip from three-point range in the setback to the Cougars. Westminster's game at UVU will be the final tune-up before the team opens RMAC play at home against MSU Denver on Friday. The game will count as an exhibition contest for the Griffins.
SERIES HISTORY VS. WESTMINSTER
Tuesday's matchup against Westminster will mark the third time that the two teams have met up on the basketball hardwood. UVU holds an all-time 2-0 record against the Griffins, including a 72-55 win last season at the UCCU Center.

WOODBURY NAMED COLLEGE SPORTS MADNESS WAC PLAYER OF THE WEEK

Trey Woodbury has been named the College Sports Madness WAC Player of the Week for his play in a pair of games against Adams State and BYU last week.

Woodbury averaged 23.0 points and 4.5 rebounds per game to lead the Wolverines to a 1-1 record to open the 2020-21 season. He opened the season with 22 points in a 100-75 win over Adams State. Woodbury knocked down 9 of 13 shots from the field, including a career-high 4 of 5 mark from long range. He also added four rebounds and four assists. In the setback at BYU, Woodbury scored a career-high 24 points on 10 of 17 shooting, including 3 of 5 from three-point range. He also tallied five rebounds, three assists, and three steals.
Over the two games last week, Woodbury averaged 23.0 points 4.5 rebounds, 3.5 assists, and 1.5 steals per game. He shot 63.3 percent from the field and 70 percent from beyond the arc.

UTAH VALLEY HAS WON 38 OF ITS LAST 47 GAMES AT HOME
UVU holds an impressive 38-9 (80.8 percent) record at home since a win over Seattle U on March 4, 2017. Utah Valley holds an all-time 188-53 (78 percent) record in its 15th season this year at the UCCU Center. The Wolverines are averaging 13.7 wins a season on their home hardwood. UVU finished the 2018-19 season with a school-record 16-1 mark. The team went 14-1 at home during the 2017-18 season and was 6-7 at home in 2019-20. UVU holds a perfect 1-0 record at home this season.
