BOISE, Idaho—The Utah Valley University men's track and field team finished second and the women placed fourth on Saturday at the 2020 WAC Indoor Track and Field Championships at Jackson Track in Boise, Idaho. The Wolverines claimed four individual WAC titles.

On the men's side, Utah Valley's
Adrian Jones (mile run),
Aiden Garnett (high jump), and
Isaac Manning (pole vault) earned WAC titles. Jones won the mile run with a time of 4:13.36 in a tightly contested race, winning by four tenths of a second over Grand Canyon's Jacob Lewis. Garnett claimed the high jump championship with a mark of 7-00.25 (2.14m) for a new school record in the event. Manning won the pole vault title on Friday with a height of 16-00.75.

UVU's
Hannah Branch claimed the women's 5000m title on Friday with a time of 17:38.47, winning by nearly nine seconds.

UVU's men just missed out on the WAC title, finishing second with 194.50 points behind Grand Canyon's 196 points. UT Rio Grande Valley finished third at 115.50, followed by Kansas City in fourth with 100 points, Chicago State in fifth at 29 points, and Seattle U in sixth with 18 points.

The Utah Valley women's team placed fourth at the championships with 62.50 points. New Mexico State won the team title with 206 points followed by Grand Canyon at 157 and UT Rio Grande Valley in third at 105 points. Kansas City finished fifth (56 points), CSU Bakersfield placed sixth (25 points), Chicago State was seventh (24 points) and Seattle U finished eighth with 19.50 points.

In the men's heptathlon, UVU's Ethan Farrer and Manning finished with silver and bronze medals in the event. Farrer finished with 5027 points, while Manning tallied 4923 points. Jones, who won the mile run title, also claimed a bronze medal in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.19. UVU's
Seth Dabb finished with a silver medal in the 400m dash with a time of 48.68.
Aaron Johnson finished third for the bronze medal in the 200m dash after recording a time of 21.71.Â

Utah Valley finished second, third, and fourth in the men's 3000m run.
Britain Reynolds finished with a silver medal with a time of 8:33.65, followed by Talon Rodriquez in third with the bronze at 8:35.48.
Jared Gonzalez-Perez placed fourth at 8:37.19.

The Wolverine men finished third in the 4x400m relay as Dabb,
Albert MacArthur,
Zane Farrer, and Jones teamed up to take home the bronze medal with a time of 3:18.59.Â
The freshman Ethan Farrer claimed WAC Men's Freshman Athlete honors after taking second in the heptathlon and fifth in the men's high jump.Â

Mazzie Melaney finished with a bronze medal in the women's mile run as she clocked a time of 6:06.76. Branch, who won the 5,000m title, finished with a bronze medal in the 3,000m run with a time of 10:07.33.
Savanna Reilly Routsong led the way in the throwing events by taking fourth in the shot put with a throw of 13.24m (43-05.25).Â
