PHOENIX, Ariz. – Utah Valley dropped a tightly-contested match with WAC-newcomer Sam Houston, 3-0 (20-25, 24-26, 21-25). The Wolverines fall to 10-10 on the season, including 5-4 in WAC play. The Bearkats improve to 13-7 on the year and 6-2 in conference play.
 
Tanuvasa led the Wolverines with 16 kills to go along with 14 digs. Kristen Bell added seven kills and 11 digs while Kendra Nock chipped in eight kills. Natalie Palmer finished with a team-high 18 assists to go along with five digs and Abbie Miller chipped in 17 assists and six digs. Bryton Bishop tallied 14 digs to go along with six assists and three aces.   

The Wolverines return home to take on Chicago State in Lockhart Arena on Saturday, Oct. 30. The match is set for 12:00 p.m. MT. and will be broadcast on ESPN+. UVU then returns to Phoenix, Ariz. for a matchup with Grand Canyon on Thursday, Nov. 4, at 7:00 p.m. MT. on ESPN+.
