SEDONA, Ariz. – Play was halted due to darkness on day one at the Red Rocks Invitational at Oakcreek Country Club in Sedona, Arizona. Utah Valley was able to get through 33 of the 36 scheduled holes on the day.Â

The completion of round two will begin on Sunday morning at 9 a.m. MDT (in Utah)/8 a.m. MST (in Arizona). Round three will then immediately follow.Â

With round two not officially compete, results revert back to the completion of round one. UVU will officially enter Sunday's final day of action in a tie for 16th place out of 19 teams in the tightly contested team race after carding a 29-over-par 317 during Saturday's first round of play.Â

The second-year freshman
Victoria Estrada led UVU during the opening round by posting a 4-over-par 76 to find herself tied for 22nd place.Â

Lauren Taylor had the next best round for the Wolverines on the day by carding a 7-over 79 to sit in a tie for 57th place, while
Bailey Henley is in 68th (80),
Anna Lesa is in 82nd (82),
Macy Robertson—who is taking part as an individual—in 93rd (85), and
Caylyn Ponich is in 104th (90).

WAC foe Grand Canyon is leading the event after recording a 6-over-par 294 in round one. Gonzaga is next with a 297, while Sacramento State is in third (300).Â
